Iranian Deputy President: The era of strategic patience is over
Iran's retaliatory strikes on military targets in Israel mark the end of the era of "strategic patience." This was stated by Deputy Head of the Iranian Presidential Administration for Political Affairs Mohammad Jamshidi.
In his message published on one of the Western social networks, Jamshidi emphasized that the missile and drone strike of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Israel was a response to the IDF attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Syria, which led to the death of senior Iranian military personnel.
The retaliatory strikes, called Operation True Promise, despite opposition from Israeli air defenses and aviation allies of Tel Aviv, caused some damage to Israeli military bases, the extent of which has not yet been specified.
According to the Deputy President of Iran, Tehran's conduct of such an operation primarily means that the era of strategic patience is over and the Israeli strategy of a “war between wars” has been defeated. The official also warned Israel of an imminent "direct and punitive response" from Iran if Tel Aviv continues to attack Iranian personnel and facilities.
Earlier it was reported that Iran carried out strikes on an Israeli intelligence facility and the Nevatim air base, from where an F-35 plane took off to strike Iran's diplomatic premises in Damascus. Tehran claims that the strikes achieved their stated goals because they demonstrated the inability of the Israeli Iron Dome air defense system to properly counter Iranian missiles and drones.
