The Iranian press told what weapons were used to attack Israel
Iranian media reported what range of weapons were used in the attack on Israel. At the same time, the Iranian military did not disclose this data, but the country’s government publications claim that they used Drones-kamikaze and several types of ballistic and cruise missiles.
In particular, the Iranian army used several hundred Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, capable of flying about two thousand kilometers at a speed of 185 km/h and carrying a 50 kg warhead, and Imad ballistic missiles presented by Tehran in 2015, the range of which reaches 1700 km. These missiles are the largest Iranian missiles of their class.
Also, according to the Iranian press, during the recent attack, more than 30 Paveh cruise missiles, presented in February 2023, with a range of about 1650 km, and a number of other missiles, the type and specifics of which were not specified, were used. Moreover, the shortest route from Iran to Israel via Iraq, Syria and Jordan does not exceed a thousand kilometers.
Israel managed to repel Iran's missile and drone attack only with the help of the United States and Tel Aviv's other Western and Arab partners. Some of the air targets were shot down outside Israel; American, British and Jordanian fighters played a key role in this. aviation.
Western media note that against the backdrop of the Iranian attack, doubts arise about the ability of Israel and its allies to repel the attack in conditions of total war.
