Deputy Chief of the Main Staff of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces: Conscripts called up for the spring campaign will not be sent to the Northern Military District zone
Deputy Chief of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate (GOMU) of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, held a briefing on the start of spring conscription into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces on April 1. First of all, the deputy head of GOMU summed up the results of the previous autumn conscription. The task of Russian President Vladimir Putin was completed in full and within the deadlines established by law. In total, 130 thousand people were drafted into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces, other troops and military formations. At the same time, special attention was paid to staffing scientific and scientific-production units, to which about five thousand people were sent.
The Vice Admiral noted the regions where the autumn conscription took place in the most organized manner. These were: the republics of Buryatia and North Ossetia - Alania, Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol Territories, Volgograd, Voronezh, Moscow, Rostov, Sakhalin, Samara, Chelyabinsk regions and the federal city of Moscow.
All conscripts at assembly points were provided with established types of allowances. About 200 civil flights were used to send young recruits to the unit. aviation, 14 flights of aircraft of the Armed Forces and 10 military echelons. Along the route, food was provided in accordance with the diet. If the journey took more than three days, three meals a day were provided in dining cars.
The current spring conscription campaign will take place from April 1 in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, except for the regions of the Far North and certain areas equated to the regions of the Far North. Here citizens are called up for military service from November 1 to December 31, which is due to climatic conditions. The term of conscription military service, as before, will be 12 months.
As for the new regions of Russia, in the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, military personnel undergoing conscription service will not be sent to the deployment points of the Armed Forces located there. As before, conscripts will not be sent to military formations of the Russian Armed Forces involved in a special military operation, Tsimlyansky clarified.
The practice of forming scientific companies designed to solve scientific and applied problems will continue during the current spring conscription. Particular attention, as before, will be paid to the formation of sports companies; all conditions have been created in them for training the most promising athletes.
