Samples of small arms of interest to the Russian Land Forces are being produced at Izhmash - Vladimir Chirkin
As the press service of the enterprise, accompanied by the Director General of the NGO Izhmash Konstantin Busygin, he got acquainted with weapons production of the enterprise: visited the machining shop, barrel production and assembly shop, was interested in the capacities and production potential for the production of modern small arms.
After inspecting the production for the Commander-in-Chief, they presented all the images of automatic and sniper weapons produced by Izhmash, as well as high-precision equipment.
During the visit to Izhmash, a closed meeting was held at which Vladimir Zlobin, Chief Designer of the Izhmash Scientific and Production Association, presented to the delegation a report on promising developments of rifle complexes for the needs of the Russian Ground Forces.
Also, the company’s management and the Commander-in-Chief discussed the implementation of development work on the “Warrior” project, following which the Ministry of Defense will purchase a large number of small arms for the Russian army.
Vladimir Chirkin stated that during the tests Izhevsk developments are at the same level as the products of other developers and expressed a wish to improve the products presented by the plant so that Izhmash could receive state contracts for re-equipment of the Russian army in 2014 year.
The samples of weapons presented to the Chief and information on promising developments aroused great interest among the military. Summing up the visit to the enterprise, Vladimir Chirkin noted that he personally became convinced that worthy samples of small arms were produced at Izhmash, which are of interest to the Ground Forces of Russia.
“I am confident that this meeting will help improve and accelerate the interaction between us as a manufacturer and customer of military products. We are planning to develop our cooperation in order to once again provide Izhmash with state orders from the Russian Ministry of Defense, ”said Izhmash general director Konstantin Busygin, summing up the meeting.
