In the Eastern Military District (BBO), training to organize reconnaissance and repel air strikes from a conventional enemy’s air attack has completed. It became the next stage of preparation for large-scale exercises of the air defense forces and aviation a district with missile launching, which will be led by the commander of the BBO troops in the spring of this year at a specialized training ground in the Republic of Buryatia.

The event involved anti-aircraft missile (anti-aircraft) units of combined arms units, the command of the Air Force and Air Defense District, the Pacific fleet.

In the course of the training, issues of organizing and maintaining the interaction of air defense units of different departmental belonging, conducting air reconnaissance, escorting the means of air attack of a conditional adversary in various conditions were studied. Particular attention was paid to the detection of air targets at low and extremely low altitudes.

The tasks of destroying single and group means of air attack of a conditional enemy without firing carried out the calculations of the Thor and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems, the Tunguska-M cannon-missile systems and the anti-aircraft missile systems that arrived in the district 2012 in the year complexes "Pantsir-С1".

According to the chief of the Air Defense Forces and Aviation of the Okrug, the tasks that the servicemen faced during the training were successfully achieved. Next week, the preparation of military equipment for shipment to the area of ​​the exercise will begin.
