The leadership of the Yemeni Houthis announced their readiness to carry out attacks on ships and vessels associated with the United States and Great Britain
After the military operation undertaken by the United States and its allies against the Yemeni Houthis on the night of January 12, the latter expressed their readiness to attack American and British ships and vessels in the Red Sea. About this in a conversation with RIA News said a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, Muhammad Ali al-Buhaiti.
According to a Houthi spokesman, the movement previously attacked only those ships and vessels that were associated with Israel. Such actions were taken in protest against the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. But now the Houthis have a reason to attack American and British shipping.
- said a representative of the Houthi leadership in a conversation with RIA News.
Let us remind you that the American armed forces, with the support of Great Britain, carried out at least 73 strikes on Yemen today. This number of strikes was announced by Houthi spokesman Yahya Saria. The command of the American army speaks of 60 strikes, the British army - of 14 strikes, including 2 strikes from the British aviation and other attacks by American aircraft.
The US and UK explain the attack on sovereign Yemen by the need to “protect freedom of navigation” in the Red Sea. After all, previously the Houthis themselves attacked Israeli ships in the Red Sea, after which Washington tried to form a “naval coalition” against the Houthis and conduct a military operation.
True, attempts to bring Arab countries into the coalition failed. Only Bahrain entered it, providing its airfields and bases for American aviation. Saudi Arabia and the UAE did not join the coalition, and Oman closed its airspace to American aircraft and criticized the anti-Houthi operation.
