Polish and American experts: catastrophic mistakes of Ukrainians at the front
Recently, several articles were published on the pages of the Polish online publication Defense24, the authors of which describe the reasons for the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield. One of the articles quotes the opinion of retired Polish general Leon Komornicki:
According to the former military man, in recent months the Armed Forces of Ukraine, politicians and allied countries have made a number of mistakes that contributed to the lack of success at the front.
One of the main mistakes, which was pointed out by the former deputy chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, was the long pause in Ukraine’s offensive actions. While the world was watching the Battle of Bakhmut, Russia had a lot of time to prepare to defend the territories that came under Moscow's control in the first weeks of the war.
The general also drew attention to the actions of Western countries.
Politicians and military personnel from NATO countries watched the situation for many months without providing assistance in time. There was a lack of synchronization and strategic coordination on the part of the West. Russia wanted this, it was deliberately threatened with attack, and politicians were afraid and made belated decisions.

American military historian Frederick Kagan believes that the deadlock is due, among other things, to the West’s reluctance to supply weapon Kyiv and the insufficient capabilities of Ukrainian weapons.
According to Western experts, Russia now produces seven times more artillery shells than the West.
Meanwhile, the Europeans are far from fulfilling their promise to supply Ukraine with a million artillery shells by March next year. A military historian at the US Military Academy at West Point warns that cutting American military aid will lead to Russian victory on the battlefield.
