Orsis chambered for 50 BMG and 375 Chey Tac: the longest-range domestic sniper rifles

A sniper is one of the most effective fighters who is able to inflict colossal damage to the enemy in manpower. At the same time, in modern military conflicts, the distance to hit a target by such a specialist already “passes” over 1,5 km and tends to two.

Naturally, much in this case depends on the skills and experience of the sniper himself. However, an important factor is weaponwhich he is using.

Weapons expert Konstantin Lazarev on his YouTube channel spoke about new powerful Russian long-range rifles from Orsis chambered in 50 BMG and 375 Chey Tac.

The latter is by far one of the most long-range, allowing aimed shooting at a distance of more than 2 km.

According to the expert, this weapon is, without exaggeration, super powerful. Even the most durable gongs (targets), designed for a rifle cartridge, could not withstand hits from these "monsters". At the same time, the release of powder gases by the muzzle brake simply blew off the shooter's GO-PRO camera.

By the way, about DTK. Lazarev noted the excellent work of this element. In his words, despite the fact that the shooting was carried out with the 50-caliber, "no one was thrown back and nothing was broken to anyone."

The expert noted that all Orsis rifles are certified as civilian hunting weapons. At the same time, these carbines are very popular, both in special forces and in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Regarding the design, according to Lazarev, the new rifles from the domestic company are a combination of proven, well-proven solutions: a bolt-action bolt, a hanging barrel, a durable aluminum chassis and a folding stock.

The basis for the company's new long-range carbines was the legendary Orsis T-5000, which at one time made a very loud statement about itself and is still very popular with snipers.

However, large calibers still required changes in the design. In particular, the contour of the barrel has been increased to 24 mm, the thread on the cut is 20, step 1, and the DTK has also been increased.

Naturally, the changes affected the receiver and magazine.

The weight of a new large-caliber rifle without a magazine, optics and bipod reaches 10 kg. For comparison, the mass of Orsis T-5000 is 7 kg.

This is business! Not only the Ministry of Defense and the Explosive Military Forces can snatch it, but also have the opportunity to sell to private interested buyers.. It’s interesting how the elk will react with the quality of meat to a meeting with. 50? Is the minced meat already ready??
