In the Pskov region, special operational detachments will be created to assist defense and security. This was announced by the Governor of the region Mikhail Vedernikov.

According to the head of the regional administration, operational units will be created in each municipality of the region. Their duties will include assistance to the power structures of the Pskov region in emergency situations.

In this part, we use the experience of the Belgorod region to the maximum. We have been studying it for a long time. In the near future, we will carry out all the necessary organizational work to form operational defense and security assistance detachments. They will operate in all municipalities and, first of all, in border areas.

Recall that the Pskov region borders on the Baltic countries - Latvia and Estonia, which are part of the North Atlantic Alliance. The deterioration of Russia's relations with NATO countries requires the adoption of additional measures in the field of defense and security. After all, in the current military-political situation, one can expect any provocative actions on the part of unfriendly states.

Earlier, formations of territorial defense were created in the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine - Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk regions. Now a number of Russian political and public figures have raised the issue of adopting a bill that would allow arming territorial defense formations with combat weapons. weapons, to use this weapon during training sessions and in the course of service.

The creation of armed formations of territorial defense is considered by many politicians as a very serious help for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other power structures, especially in the territories bordering Ukraine, where there are regular shelling of settlements, breakthroughs by sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Detachments of local residents could provide comprehensive assistance to military personnel, the National Guard and the police in solving many important tasks.
