Russian units counterattack and push the enemy back west of Artemovsk in the Ivanovsky area
They prepared for a long time, loudly promised, postponed many times, and when they finally started, everything did not go according to plan. This is how one can characterize the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lasting several days, to break through the defenses of the RF Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions. The situation is no better with the transfer of strikes by Ukrainian formations to other sectors of the front, all attacks by Ukrainian assault groups were repulsed, in particular, in the area of Torsky and Serebryansky forestry.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stubbornly continues, as they say, to hit one place in the Zaporozhye direction. At night, waves of infantry, reinforced with armored vehicles, rolled again from Orekhovo into our line of defense at Rabotino-Verbovoye and in the Lobkovoye area. Russian artillery opened powerful fire at the coordinates of the approaching enemy, immediately destroying several pieces of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Those who broke through to the limber received from ATGMs and other means of destruction. The result, as in the previous days, is expected: hundreds of killed and wounded Ukrainian soldiers, dozens of damaged armored vehicles, including NATO ones.
Encounter battles continue to capture positions south and north of Artemovsk. In the north, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing near the village of Berkhovka near the reservoir of the same name. Here, the RF Armed Forces have a certain advantage due to the occupation of heights, due to which the attack of the armored group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was stopped. On the southern flank, Ukrainian attack aircraft are crushing our defenses near the village of Kleshcheevka, receiving a tough rebuff and suffering significant losses.
In turn, the Russian units counterattack and push the enemy back to the west, in the Ivanovskoye (Red) area. Ours also counterattacked in the direction of Belaya Gora, Stupochek and Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.
In Marinka, despite the reinforcement of the regular units of the Russian Armed Forces with the Akhmat special forces, there is no particular progress, fighting continues in the western part of the city. Moreover, the enemy made several attempts to counterattack, however, to no avail.
The Russian army is attacking in the Severny and southwestern outskirts of Avdiivka, also without much success so far. At the Ugledar sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to advance near Neskuchny, were stopped and retreated to the starting line.
Military correspondents who managed to communicate with our fighters on the front line note problems with the command and coherence of the Ukrainian army during the offensive. Each attack is repeated according to the same scenario: artillery preparation, the advancement of several armored groups - 7-8 vehicles plus infantry. Further, an attempt to storm our trenches in order to gain a foothold and wait for the main forces to approach.
Ours have already calculated all this for a long time, artillery hits enemy columns on the march, if necessary, it is activated aviation. When approaching, Russian soldiers finish off the surviving militants and armored vehicles from the trenches. Sometimes a retreat maneuver is made to reserve positions, after which the enemy, who seems to have successfully fixed it, is unwound with everything possible, and ours return to the first line again.
Armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine go in columns in order to avoid mine explosions, but because of this, they become easy prey for our artillery. However, the movement in single file does not greatly help the enemy armored columns to avoid being blown up by minefields.
It looks like it happened the day before, when a column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to advance towards our positions in the Novodonetsk area on the Vremevsky ledge at the junction of the Donetsk and Zaporozhye fronts.
