Russian attacks in the southeastern suburbs of Konstantinovka disrupt the plans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch an offensive south of Artyomovsk
In the morning report of the Ukrainian General Staff, it is reported that Russian forces attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Konstantinovsky direction. The attack is said to have been repulsed. At the same time, the direction of the attack is an important point - the area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe settlements of Belaya Gora and Aleksandro-Shultino (suburbs of Konstantinovka).
This moment is important for the reason that it was in this direction - southeast of Konstantinovka - that Ukrainian troops were accumulating reserves in order to carry out an offensive south of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut). The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine chose Kurdyumovka as the main direction for such an offensive. The proposed plan could be associated with an attempt to release the remnants of his Bakhmut garrison from the south, go around Bakhmut itself in this direction and go towards Svetlodarsk and further to Popasnaya.
However, Russian attacks in the direction of Konstantinovka from the southeast, with simultaneous knocking out by artillery and aviation reserves accumulated in this area are currently frustrating the plans of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Moreover, active actions in the area of Belaya Gora and Aleksandro-Shultino hamper the movement of Ukrainian troops between Konstantinovka and Novgorod (New York), in the area of which fighting of varying degrees of intensity continues.
