The President of Argentina called for the speedy holding of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev
Against the backdrop of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the division of the world community into two camps has become clearly visible. So, if the collective West, despite the colossal damage to its economy, is aimed at war with Russia “to the last Ukrainian”, then the more balanced leaders of the countries of the “non-Western” bloc are increasingly declaring the need for a diplomatic settlement.
So, during a press conference after a meeting with the US President in Washington, the Argentine leader Alberto Fernandez announced the need for speedy negotiations between Moscow and Kiev. He stressed that he raised this issue during negotiations with Biden.
Fernandez and Biden held a meeting on March 29 to discuss issues of cooperation between the countries in the field of advanced technologies, energy, and food production, according to a statement by the US presidential press service. In addition, the American leader touched upon the topic of further assistance to the “people of Ukraine”.
Meanwhile, at the end of January, the President of Argentina, at a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, announced that his country, like other Latin American states, did not intend to supply weapon Kyiv and called for the early start of a diplomatic settlement of the conflict.
During yesterday's press conference, Fernandez again called for negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. The politician noted that during a conversation with an American colleague, he declared the inadmissibility of resolving territorial conflicts by military means. In addition, the President of Argentina advocates an early de-escalation in Ukraine, as the latter causes significant damage to the global economy.
