Future pilots of the Chinese Navy begin to select from the age of fourteen

The Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China has begun selecting junior high school graduates in 14 provincial regions to participate in the teen aviator program.

According to the naval cadet recruitment service aviation Navy PLA, it was attended by about 4500 candidates.

Approved by the Chinese Navy and Ministry of Education, the program was launched in 2015 and aims to attract schoolchildren and students interested in aviation and fit for military flight. The idea is to create a personnel reserve for the naval aviation units of the PLA Navy.

Male students as young as 14 years of age in the 14 provincial-level cooperating regions can apply for the program. Prior to the start of such a program, all candidates selected by the Navy for participation in the naval aviation training programs were high school graduates.

According to the Central Military Commissariat of the PLA Navy, applicants for participation in the program for teenage pilots this year must be born between August 31, 2006 and August 31, 2009. In addition, among the requirements for future pilots is the need to have a height of 162 up to 181 centimeters. And also he should not be too thin, and not be full.

Candidates must not have diseases such as meningitis or nephritis, and blood pressure and vision must meet the Chinese Navy standards for pilots. Other criteria include clear political, legal, and academic credentials, legal guardian consent, mental and physical activity, and a certain level of English proficiency.

After passing all rounds of selection, dozens of applicants will be enrolled in the program at a collaborating university in each of the 14 provincial-level regions.

During the three-year program, young cadets will be lectured and taught naval and flight knowledge.

During the summer and winter holidays, cadets will visit naval schools and military units, where they will visit warships and communicate with experienced pilots. They will also have the opportunity to fly the aircraft on their own in the presence of instructors - veteran pilots.

After three years, those cadets who pass the required tests will be admitted to the Naval Aviation Academy or some of China's leading universities that partner with the Navy to train pilots. In fact, this is the Chinese analogue of the Nakhimov School, only with the specifics for training in the specialty "Naval Aviation".

In general, this is absolutely correct. You need to start from childhood and from the very beginning. At the same time, select.

And here in Moscow, the DOSAAF Maritime School was ruined. They trained specialists BC-5 electricians and mechanics. Studied FTD and BZZH. They went on boats on oars and under sail. Sadly.

      I agree!
In general, the topic of selecting young people for training in a specific military specialty has been worked out by the Chinese for 5+ good We would have such programs ... There are not enough pilots at all, in the army in particular

China is preparing to become a great maritime power, and a powerful fleet needs numerous proven personnel. It remains only to envy how some set goals for themselves for decades to come, and then systematically and confidently achieve them, and there is no doubt that they will succeed...

From the age of 14, we were also driven to the military registration and enlistment offices, we were given out ascribed. Everyone was interested in who you want to become. And when the time came - where they would send them, they would send them there, and my wishes of the military commissar were not interested.

In a good way, the military registration and enlistment office should first of all worry about the needs of the troops and the capabilities of conscripts.
Everyone would like to be a pilot, and now a storekeeper at a fuel and lubricants warehouse

In fact, a registration certificate is issued at the age of 17, and not at 14 years old. At the age of 14, you can, if you wish, enter the Suvorov Military School.

what In the first half of the 90s, from the 9th (8th according to the old style) class, in an organized manner at the end of February-March, they began to visit the district military registration and enlistment office for a medical examination. Often there were fights on the square near the military registration and enlistment office and behind it, with the same future soldiers from other schools. I already had a registration certificate, a small blue book, in my opinion, from the 9th (8th in the old) class.
In those days, in our school they still taught auto business and tractors, from DOSAAF at the age of 16 I studied externally, passed the theory and practice for cat. A and B, received water. certificate.
The DOSAAF building was nearby, in line with the district military commissariat (built at the same time), with garages and equipment.

Well, Duc, we also seem to have Suvorov and Nakhimov schools. And now the cadets. And the Chinese adopted all this from the USSR. Well done. Remember the pre-war OSOAVIAKHIM, later DOSAAF. By the way, he himself studied before the army at DOSAAF for free on a carrier, 83 years old. He only expressed his desire at the military registration and enlistment office, and they immediately sent him. And also, they say, there were some courses for signalmen and something like all sorts of different technical specialties. By the way, the buyers on the collection knew by surname who had the "rights". Both served two years in the autobattalion, moreover, in the transport unit. Who knows will understand. There's a "T" in an inverted triangle. That is, I went almost every day. Zil 130/131 is our everything.

in the 80s they called me to the military registration and enlistment office, they said: you will study "for rights" with a separation from production, with the preservation of salary. Wonderfully, I received "rights" with three categories, and not "amateur". they came in handy in the army a year later. and then, in life.

In 1979, during the war between China and Vietnam, I observed such people on the border (line) in the Hassan region. Then the Chinese border guards went reinforced and that's just tall and strong Chinese. It was rumored that from the unit "Tigers".

And this is all an indicator and result of the fact that in China there is a state thinking aimed at protecting state, and hence public interests, without sugary PR and loyal show. And we have thought of everything for a long time, but nothing really has been implemented. Let's hope it hasn't been implemented yet.

"Chinese analogue" of the Nakhimov School "if we delve into history, we will remember" the navigation school "Peter 1", then the "midshipmen" classes, they were all "sharpened" for the training of naval officers
Not all of those who graduated from these institutions entered military schools, but they received a minimum of knowledge. They became, as it were, reserves for accelerated officer courses.
I knew the first graduate of the Nakhimov School. The Nakhimov cadets were immediately told: not all of you will go to officer schools, but if necessary, you are ready cadets for accelerated officer courses

Yes, the Chinese comrades boldly use the experience of the Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools of the USSR. We can only envy such a large-scale and responsible government approach. And, all because there is a guiding and guiding force. There is an ideology. There are specific and clear goals. For some reason, I have no doubt that they will succeed. And, the PLA will develop dynamically and in the right direction.

Back in the thirties, Grokhovsky proved that it was necessary to teach flying as early as possible, from adolescence.
In the eighties, for admission to the flight school there was an age threshold of 21 years for civilian youth and 25 years for re-enlisted officers and ensigns.
I was so lucky in general, flight training with us began from the first year. And the percentage of non-flyers expelled was scanty. Despite the fact that the Mi-2 is very difficult to master.

When I wanted to become a pilot, I went to the local Aeroclub in the 9th grade. In 1987. 8 months, 3 evenings a week, 4 academic hours, i.e. per week 12 academ. hours, we were taught the design of the aircraft and the design of the Yak-52 engine, piloting, meteorology, parachute training, radio training, medical training, map reading. It was only later that I realized how serious it was.
