A new complex for reporting information about a missile attack has been put on combat duty of the RF Armed Forces
In the context of growing international tension and an increasingly aggravated confrontation with NATO, the Russian Armed Forces continue to build up and improve the system of protecting our country from missile attacks of a mock enemy. One of the most important elements of this kind of shield is the missile attack warning system (SPRN), the creation of which was started in the USSR in the fifties of the last century immediately after the introduction of intercontinental ballistic missiles into service in some countries.
In standby mode, the early warning missile system provides instrumental reconnaissance of the parameters of missiles of potential enemies during their test and combat training launches. To this end, two echelons of early warning systems have been created in our country, consisting of ground-based radar stations (RLS) and an orbital constellation of artificial Earth satellites (AES). During the existence of the Soviet Union, ground-based radars, in addition to the territory of the RSFSR, worked in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Ukraine. However, after the collapse of the USSR, only stations located in the Republic of Belarus remained under the control of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
It became known that a new complex for reporting information about a missile attack was put on combat duty of the RF Armed Forces. About the deployment of the complex on condition of anonymity to the agency TASS said a source close to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Given that such developments and deployment of systems are carried out in the strictest secrecy, this information has not been officially confirmed.
- the interlocutor told the agency, adding that work is now underway to transfer the early warning system to a completely domestic electronic component base.
The Russian doctrine of nuclear deterrence implies the use of nuclear weapons only as a response, so the improvement of the early warning system for missile attacks is of paramount importance for ensuring the country's global security. Especially now, when in NATO and in the West as a whole, against the backdrop of the Ukrainian conflict, statements about the possibility of using nuclear weapons are increasingly being heard. weapons, and especially hotheads claim that it is Russia that can be the first to use tactical nuclear weapons.
At the same time, the corresponding US doctrine allows the United States to use nuclear weapons preventively, including for the purpose of escalating military conflicts in any part of the world.
