The Ukrainian Air Force continues to suffer the loss of its best pilots and crews. It became known that one of the most experienced pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force, Major Denis Kirilyuk, was eliminated the day before.

According to the command of the 831st tactical brigade aviation Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kirilyuk died "during the performance of a combat mission." The Su-27 fighter, in which the Ukrainian pilot was located, was shot down.

Major Kirilyuk served as deputy squadron commander - navigator.

It is known that since February last year, Kirilyuk has flown 70 sorties. At the same time, the 831st brigade confirms that Kirilyuk carried out bombing until February 2022. At least 10 times he struck at the territory of the LDNR before the start of the Russian special military operation.

It is also known that Major Kirilyuk was awarded the Order "For Courage" (3rd degree) in August last year. According to some reports, he was considered as one of the main candidates for retraining for the subsequent management of Western-style aircraft, the delivery of which is expected by the Kiev regime.

The air base of the 831st brigade is located in Mirgorod, Poltava region. Recently, the remaining aircraft of this brigade and delivered combat units from NATO countries have been dispersed over the territories controlled by the Kyiv regime.
