Turkish analyst: US follows the path of empire and repeats the fate of Rome
The major Turkish publication Yeni Safak published an article dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. Columnist Abdullah Muradoglu wrote in an article that "those who applauded this invasion in 2003 do not regret it today." This is despite the fact that no declared chemical weapons the Americans never found it in Iraq.
Muradoglu writes that the justification for the invasion was fabricated, "but it didn't matter anymore - Basra and other cities of Iraq were devastated."
