French Defense Minister: Paris will double the supply of 155 mm shells to Ukraine

The West continues to increase military supplies to Ukraine, reacting with discontent to Russia's retaliatory measures.

This time, one of the largest countries of the European Union, France, distinguished itself, the head of the defense department of which Sebastian Lecornu has already visited Kyiv more than once.

According to the French Minister of Defense, Paris intends to double the number of 155-mm shells supplied to Kyiv and bring their deliveries to 2000 shells per month. Such a scheme will start working from the end of March, the minister said in an interview with the French newspaper Figaro.

We will also supply ground equipment needed for Ukraine's counteroffensive.

In addition to 155-mm shells, according to the French Minister of Defense, Kyiv will soon receive the SAMP / T air defense system, which is estimated at several hundred million euros.

Lecornu also added that the issue of replenishing the support fund for Ukraine is being considered, since 200 million euros from the fund have already been spent on the needs of Ukraine.

Recall that Paris has already sent a significant batch to Kyiv weapons. In the near future, the first batch of French tanks AMX-10RC. And according to some reports, several of these wheeled tanks are already in Ukraine.

In Moscow, it has been stated more than once that Russia has something to answer for all the weapons transferred to Ukraine.
