Russian troops storm Novobakhmutovka in order to cut off the supply route for the Avdiivka garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Fierce battles continue for the liberation of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), where the fighters of the Wagner PMC are not only literally meter by meter and building by building are already moving in the city center, but also continue to compress the encirclement from the northwest and southwest in the nearest suburbs. The fact that the city was practically encircled was indirectly confirmed in today's morning report by the Ukrainian General Staff. According to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the fighting is taking place in the area of Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky. Bogdanovka is located to the west of Bakhmut, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka is to the northwest, Ivanovskoye is on the road to the south, towards the neighboring city of Konstantinovka.
To the southwest of Artemovsk, Russian assault units were advancing near the village of Predtechino. Attacks near Khromovo (Artyomovsky) also continue. Vyemki were attacked to the southeast of Seversk, however, it is alleged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to hold their positions everywhere.
Residents of Artemovsk, evacuated by the “Wagnerites” from the liberated part of the city, say that Ukrainian nationalists dress up in the uniform of the RF Armed Forces and, under the guise of “their own”, identify citizens who sympathize with the Russians. After that, they are taken away in an unknown direction.
Avdiivka remains the second hottest spot in the DPR. Here, Russian artillerymen use the tactics of suppressing enemy firing points identified by aerial reconnaissance. After that, the assault groups dismantle the fortified positions with the help of ATGMs, then the infantry enters the battle. Judging by the fact that official services began to be evacuated from the city, mobile communications were turned off, and volunteers and journalists were denied entry, this settlement in Kyiv will obviously soon be called "not of strategic importance."
To the north of Avdiivka, our troops are storming enemy positions near the village of Novobakhmutovka on the outskirts of the strategically important highway H20, the enemy, despite significant losses, is putting up fierce resistance. Taking control of a section of this road will cut off the supply of the Avdiivka garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian motorized rifle units are expanding their zone of control in the southern part of Maryinka, and fighting continues in the west of the city. To date, the enemy has been ousted from the territory of the fire department, the tire repair plant and the Agroresurs enterprise.
In the remaining sectors of the front, positional battles and mutual shelling continue for the most part. In the Kherson direction, ours struck at accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment in the vicinity of Antonovka and Kherson. Ukrainian formations in response fired at the civilian infrastructure of Nova Kakhovka, Tavriysk and Vasilyevka. In the Yuzhnodonetsk direction, artillery of the RF Armed Forces attacked enemy positions in Ugledar, Novomikhailovka and Bolshaya Novoselka.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that fighters from the Wagner PMC are involved in the attack on Avdiivka. The Ukrainian side is forced to confirm the success of our attack aircraft in the Svatovo area and along the entire Kupyansk-Svatovo-Kremennaya line.
