The leader of the British political party urged the West not to drag out the conflict in Ukraine
24
Despite continued supplies of Western weapons to Ukraine and the militant rhetoric of many Western politicians, in the West, sound voices are often heard calling for a speedy resolution of the situation around Ukraine.
One politician who holds this view is the British politician David Courten, who leads the Heritage Party. The politician shared his opinion on the Ukrainian conflict on Twitter (blocked on the territory of the Russian Federation). Courten called on Western countries to make every effort to resolve the situation around Ukraine as soon as possible. According to him, the prolongation of the conflict is not beneficial to either Russia or Ukraine, as well as the West, as it causes more and more damage to its interests.
The collective West must take steps to immediately de-escalate tensions in Ukraine
– wrote Courten in the social network.
Unfortunately, such ideas are not welcomed in the West, and the need to bring the conflict to a victorious end is imposed on public opinion; defeat Russia. In support of this line, more and more new batches of weapons are being brought to Ukraine from all over Europe and from the USA, and mercenaries are coming. All this only leads to a prolongation of the conflict. Moreover, many Western experts opposed to Russia themselves admit that it has great potential and Kyiv's victory in this conflict is doubtful.
