US State Department Secretary Anthony Blinken announces another military aid package for Ukraine
The United States has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will be sent to Kyiv in the near future. This time, Washington has been generous with $350 million. This was stated by the head of the US State Department, Anthony Blinken.
US President Joe Biden, apparently unable to fulfill his duties, therefore delegated his powers to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who announced the allocation of new military assistance to Kiev for 350 million dollars. As stated in the message, the package will include ammunition for the HIMARS MLRS, 155-mm howitzers, ammunition for the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, anti-tank weapons, boats for river flotilla Ukrainian fleet and HARM anti-radar missiles.
Blinken said.
Judging by the list of military aid, where the basis is ammunition, the United States is in a hurry to supply Ukraine with everything necessary for the planned offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which may follow in the near future. Washington has repeatedly stated that they are betting on a counterattack by the Ukrainian army, which should lead to a turning point on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, the European Union still approved the plan of EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell to allocate 2 billion euros from the European Peace Fund for ammunition for Ukraine. In the near future, Europe will supply Kyiv with 1 million artillery shells, the shipment will be carried out within the next 12 months. Another billion will go to the production of ammunition.
