The Prime Minister of Saxony announced the direct involvement of Germany in the Ukrainian conflict

Western officials of various ranks can say as much as they like that the NATO countries “are not participants in the armed conflict in Ukraine,” but the obvious cannot be hidden behind such formulations. It is noteworthy that this is also recognized by some foreign politicians.

For example, the Focus edition published an interview with the Prime Minister of Saxony (the federal state of Germany) Michael Kretschmer, where he unequivocally pointed out the direct involvement of Germany in the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Kretschmer, negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are a thing of the past after the decision on the supply of weapons Ukraine by the West. The Saxon premier noted that, in his opinion, Berlin should not have made such a decision, and that Germany should have remained an active mediator in the dialogue between Kiev and Moscow.

Thus, the German politician actually indicated that the German authorities initially favored one of the parties to the conflict. In fact, ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel once said this, noting that “Kyiv was not going to fulfill the Minsk agreements.”

Michael Kretschmer:

At the same time, the opinion on the Minsk agreements expressed additionally by the Prime Minister of Saxony is interesting. He does not consider those agreements to be completely negative, arguing that "at one time they prevented a war in Europe."

Kretschmer:

It seems that they are at war with Russia for the first time. All the same, the history of wars must be taught to all Western politicians separately and in depth.
