The head of the Russian Guard, Zolotov, announced an increase in the number of European mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops (FSVNG, Rosgvardiya), Army General Viktor Zolotov, noted an increase in the number of mercenaries from the EU countries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone in Ukraine. This is reported in the press service of the FSVNG.
Zolotov also stressed that, despite the impressive combat experience of Western mercenaries participating in the armed conflict on the side of Ukraine, the servicemen and employees of the Russian Guard are not inferior, but in a number of aspects they are superior.
The head of the National Guard checked the training of snipers taking part in a special military operation in Crimea and the Kherson region. Zolotov highly appreciated the level of training of the personnel, and also presented a sniper rifle of one of the latest modifications to the National Guard unit.
In addition to direct participation in hostilities in the zone of the special operation in Ukraine, the National Guard is also involved in ensuring the security of infrastructure and transport communications. In addition, employees of the Russian Guard are engaged in identifying and suppressing the activities of enemy saboteurs, searching for ammunition caches and weapons, as well as demining the territory.
The department notes that during the special operation in Ukraine, the National Guard destroyed more than 13 tons of various explosives, neutralized more than 112 thousand dangerous items and cleared several hundred private houses from unexploded ordnance, as well as more than 17 thousand kilometers of roads.
