Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny ordered the formation of strike companies of drones
From the very beginning of the Russian special military operation, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine paid special attention to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. However, what else was left to do in the conditions of air dominance of Russian air defense and aviation.
Now the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), General Valery Zaluzhny, has ordered the formation of unmanned aerial vehicles in the army. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in its Telegram channel.
As stated in the message of the Ukrainian military department, the decision to create shock companies was made following the results of the meeting of the Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine claims that they have already selected several officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who will be appointed commanders of shock companies. Now they will recruit personnel for sergeant and private positions.
Rota drones will be armed drones and ammunition, as well as satellite communications and all other necessary equipment. The Ukrainian command expects that such companies will be able to perform independent tasks at the front. Prior to this, drone operators were part of regular army units.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine reported that the Kyiv regime now has six special systems to combat Russian drones. In fact, Kyiv is now very concerned about the issues of improving and building up its potential in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.
However, Russia is also improving its capabilities both in terms of using its own drones and in the direction of combating enemy unmanned aircraft. The latter issue is especially relevant, given the incidents with enemy drones flying to airfields in the Saratov and Ryazan regions.
