Russian public: PMC "Wagner" fighters report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using unidentified chemical weapons in Artemovsk
Russia's unilaterally announced Christmas truce, which de facto can hardly be called such, will end in a few hours. During its operation, the situation at the front was by no means peaceful. Both sides were engaged in intensive military operations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shelling the cities of Donbass, our units were moving forward in several directions, counter-battery fighting was carried out.
Some information about the events in the zone of the special military operation at the moment from open Russian, Ukrainian and Western sources in this collection.
Let's start with another analytical review of British intelligence. In today's report from the shores of Foggy Albion, they confirm that on Christmas days the fighting on the Ukrainian front continued with the same intensity.
The British call the Kremennaya area in the LPR one of the most intense areas, where in recent weeks land battles have been mainly fought to the west of the city. The coniferous forest in the vicinity provides cover from air surveillance even in winter, and infantry encounters often occur at short distances.
British experts believe that the Russian command most likely regards the pressure around Kremennaya as a threat to the right flank of its Bakhmut (Artemovsky) sector, which, in their opinion, is key to ensuring the possibility of any future offensive with the goal of finally liberating the territory of the Donetsk Republic.
More information from the enemy, which is sometimes useful for objectivity. The press service of the 46th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Ukrainian military units have their own press services) confirms the advance of Russian forces in Soledar, but “not as significant as Russian telegram channels say.” There are fierce battles in the city, Ukrainian sources report that the Russian military is trying to encircle it and block the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located there.
This is how he sees, or rather shows the Ukrainians, the current situation at the front, including near Soledar, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. It is good if the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans operations based on such “accurate data”.
At the same time, Russian publics report that the fighters of the Wagner group have already practically taken possession of Soledar, there are fights on the outskirts, where the Vushniks are trying to fight back in the salt mines. According to other sources, the Ukrainians do not evacuate the city and put up fierce resistance to the “musicians”. At the same time, the "Wagnerites" took under the fire control of the guns "Hyacinth-B" and "Hyacinth-S" a section of the route between the village of Blagodatnoye and the northwestern suburb near Sovetskaya Street. This greatly hampered the transfer of reinforcements to the 17th tank APU brigades.
Soldiers of PMC "Wagner" report that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using unidentified chemical weapon in Artemovsk (Bakhmut). Information about the use of banned BOVs by Ukrainian nationalists is circulating in Russian public pages, there is no official confirmation of this yet. The source reports that as a result of poisoning, several fighters received chemical burns of the mucous membrane and upper respiratory tract, they were hospitalized in serious condition.
A columnist for the American magazine Time published an article in which he warned Kyiv that revenge on the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine must be taken before spring. The thing is that, unlike Russia, Ukraine can continue the war only with the support of the West. And it is not guaranteed because of the contradictions within the sponsoring countries of Ukraine. The author of the article gives as an example, as a role model, Finland in 1940. Although he admits that despite the successes of the Finns, the matter still ended for them in the loss of territory, but Finland managed to maintain sovereignty.
And finally, one more disappointment for Zelensky. Poland will not supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told reporters. At least apart from other NATO countries.
