When the service is still complex and almost invisible
Every year, on December 20, employees of the Russian security agencies celebrate their professional holiday. The official name of this holiday is “The Day of the Security Bodies of the Russian Federation”, that is, employees of the Federal Security Service, the Federal Security Service and some other special services of our country are involved on this day.

But now they call it “FSB Day” for short. It used to be called the “Day of the Chekist”, and the date itself, December 20, was not accidental, it was on this day back in 1917 that the Council of People’s Commissars of the RSFSR issued a decree on the formation of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission, that is, the Cheka, which became the progenitor of all modern services and security authorities.
And everyone considers Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky to be the founding father.
The path was long and not easy, the Cheka worked until 1922, then there was the GPU, the State Political Directorate, when the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was formed, the GPU changed its name to the OGPU, the United Main Political Directorate under the NKVD.
In 1934, the OGPU was transformed into the Main Directorate of State Security (GUGB) as part of the NKVD of the USSR. In March 1941, the NKVD was divided into the NKVD itself and the NKGB, the People's Commissariat for State Security, which was to be responsible for the competence of the former GUGB, but already in July of that year, after the start of the war, they were reunited.
In 1943, the division into the NKVD and the NKGB of the USSR again took place. In 1946, the NKGB of the USSR was transformed into the Ministry of State Security (MGB) of the Soviet Union.
In 1954, the State Security Committee (KGB) was created under the Council of Ministers of the USSR, which existed for 36 years. On December 3, 1991, considered one of the strongest intelligence agencies in the world, the KGB ceased to exist.
The new state The Russian Federation has acquired new special services.
In January 1992, the Ministry of Security of Russia was formed.
In December 1993, the ICBM was transformed into the Federal Counterintelligence Service (FSK).
In April 1995, the familiar to us Federal Security Service was created, to which in 2003 the Federal Border Service was attached.
From the first main directorate of the KGB of the USSR, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) was formed.
On the basis of the 9th Directorate of the KGB of the USSR, the Security Service of the President of the USSR was created, which until 1993 operated as part of the Main Directorate of Security of the Russian Federation. In the period from 1993 to 1996, it was an independent department - the Presidential Security Service. Since 1996 it has been a member of the Federal Security Service (FSO).
Today, the range of tasks performed by FSB officers is very wide. You can even say that it is too broad, because some things (monitoring the discrediting of our Ministry of Defense) are a clear overkill. But even without these nonsense, the FSB officers have something to do, and, in fact, from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad.
SVO
The SVO, which began this year, only increased the number of cases that came under the control of the Federal Security Service. If you look at the very short and rather concise reports published by the FSB press service this year, you can make an unambiguous conclusion that the outbreak of hostilities changed the priority areas of work.
It turned out that in the country a fairly significant number of citizens not only do not support the NWO, but are ready to cooperate in every way with the enemy, both from ideological and selfish motives.
We have to work in these directions, calculating those who want to cooperate with the enemy. Detaining, initiating criminal cases. Indeed, who else can stop in time, for example, one of the leaders of the country's aviation enterprise, who decided to "help" a colleague working at the Odessa Aviation Plant by photographing some documents and then sending them by e-mail? In Vladivostok, thousands of kilometers away from the battlefield, a Russian citizen is cooperating with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. And it comes across.
A separate category of people is like newly acquired citizens of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, who do not really want to become Russians. That is why they carry out intelligence activities in the territory of the designated regions in favor of Ukraine.
And such individuals as a 28-year-old resident of the Kherson region, who was caught collecting information about the places of deployment, the number of units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the routes of their movement on the territory of the Kherson region and the types of military equipment and weapons used with reference to maps of the area and geographical coordinates, many. Unfortunately, there are too many of them.
In addition, no one canceled the "work" of the DRG of Ukraine, aimed at energy infrastructure enterprises, railways, bridges and other important facilities. Crimea, Kherson region, Stavropol Territory, Voronezh region - the list of places where the “well-wishers” introduced from the Ukrainian side took place is constantly updated.
And no one has canceled the ISIS terrorists, who from time to time appear in our southern regions, representatives of various terrorist organizations such as Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami, underground "homemade", practicing in the manufacture of homemade weapons and the most trivial spies from all corners of the world.
We usually do not see this, because the activities of the FSB are often not subject to wide publicity. Those crumbs that come out in press releases are more likely to reassure citizens, to show that the Service, in principle, is doing its job.
Probably it should be. Better a quiet and no-nonsense job that allows us to sleep peacefully than dozens of "hot" ones. News in the style of some of our media, which can easily cause panic, not like in a single city - to raise the ears of a whole subject of the Federation.
It is better to let the service be “as if not visible”. Not at first or second glance. It's really calmer that way.
Order No.547
Not so long ago, the FSB involuntarily stirred up the journalistic community very seriously. We are talking about the sensational order No. 547 "On the approval of the List of information in the field of military, military-technical activities of the Russian Federation, which, if received by foreign sources, can be used against the security of the Russian Federation."
Many did not quite understand the essence of the document, which, we note, again, some media replicated as an attack on the foundations of freedom of speech. There were a lot of heated discussions, but in the end everyone calmed down. Perhaps those who focused on the publication of Order No. 547 did not themselves expect that they would raise such a wave. Here, of course, it would be worthwhile for the Service to intervene, providing appropriate explanations and reassuring the public, which has been seething for more than a month.
It is worth saying a few words about the document as part of the work of the FSB, if only for the sake of justice, because we also did not quite clearly understand the essence of the document.
In fact, it was worth looking at a slightly different document, which Bortnikov himself referred to: the law “On Control over the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”, or rather the 1st paragraph of part 6 of article 4 of this law. That is, it was about all the same foreign agents, more precisely, about that part of these people who will be noticed in the purposeful collection of information in the field of military, military-technical activities of the Russian Federation, which, if received by foreign sources, can be used against the security of the Russian Federation .
And the FSB resolved these issues, moreover, long before the appearance of Order No. 547. A similar document was released a year ago on November 28, 2021. A very similar document, in fact, No. 547 is just a continuation and clarification of that document. But in 2021, the document did not provoke such a reaction. Perhaps because the NWO has not yet begun.
It so happened that for the vast majority of people in Russia, as well as for the media, Order No. 547 changes nothing, it does not impose new sanctions or prohibitions, it only specifies the activities of foreign agents. For all other citizens of Russia, absolutely nothing has changed. And God forbid that it does not change further.
“Foreign agent” is not a very beautiful title, but here one must understand that not every dissident is a foreign agent, and not every foreign agent is a dissident, as individual representatives of the blogosphere try to present it.
It is assumed that in the law, which preceded Order No. 547 and which is called “On Control over the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”, it was at the suggestion of the FSB that certain boundaries and definitions were drawn.
It turns out that not only those people or organizations that receive funding from abroad can be recognized as foreign agents, it’s just in our time of all kinds of blocking and restrictions - that’s another problem, there is something else. Money, of course, is evil, but receiving organizational, methodological, scientific, technical and other assistance is also recognized as evil. And this is logical, of course, it is necessary to understand in each specific case what kind of scientific and technical assistance, who provided it and to whom ... For some reason, the picture “How to weld tol on your own at home” immediately appeared in my head.

On the whole, I never looked with envy at the representatives of the special services, and now I certainly would not. All the work of the FSB looks like a normal hell of such dimensions, with boilers, in each of which a certain brew is brewed: terrorists, false religious, corrupt, spies, obscurantists, dissidents, and so on. And each cauldron must be filtered, the goats must be separated from the goats.
Today we are very different. We have many complaints against a huge number of ministries and departments, but on the eve of Chekist Day, I will note that, perhaps, there are no complaints against the FSB by and large. And it's just great.
This means that spies and saboteurs are caught, terrorists are eliminated, whoever needs to be grabbed by the hand and imprisoned. That is, the process is underway. And let him go on like this, quietly and inconspicuously, but with an efficiency that exceeds any requests.
