Western press: Such a revival of military production in Europe, as it is currently, has not been observed since the Cold War
It seems that the conflict in Ukraine has become a very profitable business for the military-industrial complex enterprises of Eastern Europe: several large manufacturers weapons announced a significant increase in the export of their weapons and ammunition to Kyiv. Such a revival of military production in Europe, as it is now, has not been observed since the Cold War.
According to the Reuters news agency, in addition to the US and the UK - the main exporters of military equipment for Ukrainians, Eastern European countries have also begun to make active efforts to carve out their niche in the arms market. Their military factories have significantly increased the production of not only weapons, but also military equipment to help Ukraine.
- said Sebastian Chwalek, CEO of the Polish arms company PGZ.
It is worth emphasizing that PGZ is a state corporation that controls more than 50 companies specializing in the production of weapons and ammunition - from armored personnel carriers to UAVs. The plans of the military concern for the next decade include the construction of new arms factories. About $1,8 billion has already been provided for these purposes.
The Eastern European countries also faced the need to increase the pace of production of weapons, both old and new, immediately after the start of the special operation in Ukraine - after the Soviet warehouses with weapons and ammunition were used up.
In conclusion, we note that the increase in the supply of weapons to Kyiv does not contribute to the end of the conflict in any way, on the contrary, only dragging it out. But for the United States and a number of other Western countries, this is an ideal scenario.
