The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the transfer of Russian Tor-M2 air defense systems to Belarus
Russia continues to transfer military equipment and personnel to Belarus, gradually increasing the grouping of troops on the territory of the republic. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is closely monitoring the situation, not excluding the possibility that a joint Russian-Belarusian group will strike from the north.
Russia transferred Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems to Belarus, and at least 15 anti-aircraft systems arrived at the Lesnaya station of the Brest branch of the Belarusian Railway. The echelon was formed in Yeysk. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Lesnaya station is actively used to unload Russian military equipment that arrived in Belarus.
It is assumed that the newly arrived anti-aircraft systems in the republic can be used to cover military facilities where Russian troops are stationed, and in case of a possible offensive, to cover the advancing troops from the actions of the Ukrainian aviation.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russia had concentrated on the territory of Belarus about 9 thousand military personnel, as well as military equipment, including Tanks, BMP-BTR and artillery. This number is not enough to carry out a full-fledged offensive from the northern direction, but the Belarusian military may also join the Russians, allegedly up to 15 thousand. As expected in Kyiv, this option is quite possible. A joint grouping of 25 thousand military personnel, reinforced with armored vehicles and with air support, is capable of breaking through the defense being built by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the border with Belarus.
In the meantime, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to keep significant forces in the northern direction, although it does not observe preparations for an offensive from the Belarusian territory.
