Hungarian Prime Minister Orban warned of the risks of further drawing Europe into the Ukrainian conflict
The European Union is more and more involved in the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, speaking at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
According to Orban, the European Union first decided to supply Ukraine with non-lethal weapons. Then European countries smoothly switched to the supply of lethal weapons. The next step was the training of Ukrainian military personnel on the territory of the EU countries, in training centers organized by European armies.
In the near future, Europe is going to take on the financial burden of the actual maintenance of Ukraine, devastated by the conflict. Apparently, Orban is also unhappy with this moment: the huge financial costs of supporting Ukraine do not contribute to improving the economy and the quality of life of the population of European countries.
Europe is already facing an energy crisis, with inflation in energy and food prices. In fact, European governments have completely turned into satellites of the United States, neglecting the interests of their citizens for the sake of Washington's geopolitical ambitions. Such actions of European governments only contribute to the further weakening of Europe both economically and politically.
The Prime Minister of Hungary once again voiced the position of Budapest: the Hungarian government considers it its main task in the context of the events in Ukraine to seek an agreement on a ceasefire and the beginning of peace negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow. This position of Orban cannot but command respect, given that Hungary is the only EU country that demonstrates a completely independent approach to the Ukrainian problem and stubbornly refuses to follow the policy of Washington and Brussels to further escalate the conflict.
