Times: Russia will defiantly conduct nuclear tests near the border with Ukraine
Russia will allegedly defiantly conduct nuclear tests near the border with Ukraine. This is an extremely risky undertaking.
The British newspaper The Times writes about this, citing military sources.
They argue that the atomic explosion will be organized for demonstration purposes, and not for testing purposes. The interlocutors of the publication say that the Black Sea area will allegedly become the test site. Where such information about unnamed sources comes from is not reported.
British journalists note that these actions are very risky, because the slightest mistake can harm the residents and infrastructure of settlements on Russian territory.
Earlier, both the British Defense Department and the US Department of Defense stated that the likelihood of Russia using a nuclear weapons in Ukraine is extremely small. And the former head of the CIA, General David Petraeus, said that if Moscow uses tactical nuclear weapons, America should destroy the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
Ilya Kramnik, a researcher at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, was also skeptical about the possibility of resuming nuclear tests by the Russian military, with whom talked journalists of the Moskovsky Komsomolets publication. In his opinion, demonstration atomic explosions will in no way affect the behavior of major world powers, but will only spoil the attitude towards Russia of countries that do not possess nuclear weapons.
At the moment, the situation in Ukraine has become a pretext for increasing the pressure of the collective West on the Russian Federation.
The frequent statements by Western representatives about Russia's alleged readiness to either use or demonstratively test nuclear weapons may indicate that the West itself is ready to stage a provocation with weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine.
