According to the report, two saboteurs were preparing to blow up a railway track near the village of Soldatskaya in the Prokhladnensky district of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The FSB officers, together with the fighters of the National Guard, came to the suspects when they tried to plant an explosive device under the railroad tracks near the railway bridge over the canal named after. At the place of residence of one of the saboteurs, components for the manufacture of an explosive device were found. In the course of further operational activities, a third member of the terrorist group was identified, he was detained.

A criminal case has been initiated on this fact, investigative and operational measures are ongoing in order to identify possible accomplices of terrorists, as well as other facts of criminal activity.
