In the Oskolsky and Kherson sectors of the RF Armed Forces, the defense is mainly carried out, in the DPR - mainly the offensive. One of the battles in this location took place on the Lisichansk-Artemovsk highway during the assault by a Russian unit of enemy positions that blocked traffic along the specified road.
The attack was carried out by two squads on infantry fighting vehicles reinforced with MBT. When the tank reached the stronghold, one of the militants unsuccessfully tried to hit the armored vehicle with a grenade launcher. The MBT, taking position, opened fire on the checkpoint, destroying it with several shots. At this time, the militants retreated to shelters (the enemy infantry fighting vehicle, it seems, never entered the battle), the tank, after suppressing the defenders at the checkpoint, fired at the rear.
After that, two Russian infantry fighting vehicles approached the opornik, a mine exploded in front of one of them. The landing force stationed inside the combat vehicles dismounted and took up position, hiding behind the ruins of the checkpoint. Part of the enemy sat down behind the gabions, part - in the trenches, the enemy was thrown with grenades and combed the shelters. The battle was won by Russian soldiers thanks to a dynamic attack, which made it possible to quickly capture a strategically important fortified area.
