German press: Since the beginning of the summer, the German authorities have denied Kyiv an increase in military aid
It seems that Kyiv's Western partners are beginning to realize the futility of supplying the Armed Forces with their weapons. Ukrainian troops cannot change the situation on the fronts, losing dozens or even hundreds of soldiers every day. In addition, Western weapons are subjected to regular "utilization".
Thus, the German edition of Die Welt on the eve published an article stating that the German authorities have been refusing to increase military assistance to Kyiv since the beginning of summer.
Journalists note that since June, Ukrainian diplomats have been unsuccessfully trying to persuade Berlin to increase the supply of heavy weapons. In particular, we are talking about self-propelled guns Panzerhaubitze 2000, MLRS MARS II, as well as tanks and other armored vehicles.
However, in response, representatives of the Kyiv authorities, as the publication put it, receive some “strange excuses”, and the delivery dates for the previously promised weapons are constantly postponed.
It is worth noting here that, along with the obvious futility of supplies weapons Ukraine, the decision of the German authorities is influenced by another prosaic, but at the same time extremely significant factor. As they write in the publication, in Berlin they “justify” the impossibility of increasing assistance to Ukraine by the lack of “free” equipment in Germany itself. The weapons that the Bundeswehr has today are necessary for the country to fulfill its obligations to NATO.
