- later told reporters one of the drivers.
According to the media, this happened on the road connecting the municipality of Zubin Potok with North Mitrovica. Similar cases have been noted in other places. In particular, in Dudin Krs in the municipality of Zvecan, Special Police officers told each driver after the search:
Earlier, the authorities of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo imposed a ban on the use of Serbian documents in the region, as well as Serbian license plates. This caused unrest among the local population, which took to the streets and began to block traffic on the roads. The protests forced the authorities to back down. But they did not cancel their decision, but only postponed it for a month. As a result, the ban will come into force not on August 1, as originally planned, but on September 1.
