PR on the corpses of civilians or How Zelensky wants to unite the people in the fight against a terrible monster from the East
Since yesterday, questions related to the barbaric shelling of Donetsk have been flooding my mind. It is clear that the mass death of civilians causes a whole range of emotions in any normal person. What for? What is the military need for these shelling of markets, maternity hospitals and other places where quite a lot of people gather on weekends?
I understand the anger and radicalism of many readers. I understand the desire to strike in such a way as to immediately discourage any desire to kill the civilian population of Donbass. In my answers, I tried to moderate radicalism, but the result of my convictions turned out to be meager.
“Destroy Zelensky's office building”, “destroy all railway stations and airports”, “stop pitying them, because they do not pity ours”... Dear readers, anger must be righteous. You should not turn into animals just because the enemy is a beast. The soldier differs from the killer in that he fights with soldiers, and not with civilians.
We were already “wolverines” at the beginning of the special operation. You all know the result. Losses... Today the Russian army is no longer a "wolverine", but no less formidable predator - the "mantis". What is the difference between these most efficient predators? Wolverine kills, and praying mantis, pardon the naturalism, eats the enemy alive. Caught and ate, without pity.
Today we “eat” the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other paramilitary formations in exactly the same way. Caught - ate. Driven into the cauldron - destroyed. Not all at once, but in parts. The effectiveness of such a "hunt" is obvious. It is enough to look at the map of hostilities. Does anyone today doubt the correctness of stopping the attack on Volnovakha? Does anyone doubt the liquidation of the boiler in Severodonetsk and Lisichansk?
Why are the Armed Forces firing the last shells at civilians?
It is no secret that the logistical routes used to supply the group in the Severodonetsk region are for the most part controlled by the Russian army and subdivisions of the republics. The supply of ammunition is extremely limited. At the same time, the shelling of Donetsk is carried out with such a number of shells and missiles, as if the group's arsenals were crammed to the very roof.
In my opinion, there are several reasons that force Kyiv to take this step. Today, Ukraine faces several tasks at once that need to be addressed urgently. Globally, this is to revive interest in the country from the United States and Western Europe. We need new supplies of weapons.
There are smart people in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in Zelensky's office. Not those who shine on television, but those who manage Zelensky and his team. And these people are well aware of the futility of the war with Russia. Even those deliveries, which are loudly announced almost daily, do not change anything in the alignment of forces on the line of confrontation.
Modern weapon quite hard to master. This requires knowledge not only of soldier science. The modern soldier must be well educated. And there are big problems with this issue in Ukraine. Alas, language is not the language in which you can get a quality education. For objective reasons.
The effectiveness of Western weapons today, if we take Ukrainian data, is prohibitively small. Even among experts there is an opinion that, for example, the Javelin ATGM is less effective than the old RPG-7 that has been tested for decades. Alas, this is just a new interpretation of the old expression "monkey with a grenade."
Kyiv now requires not only the supply of modern weapons, but also crews that are trained to work with these systems. That in the conditions of the mass death of mercenaries and the exemplary trial and sentence of three of them by the Donetsk Tribunal is quite problematic. And Kyiv's appetites are growing like a snowball.
And here a very unpleasant problem for Ukraine is highlighted. The US and the entire West is clearly cowardly. Deliveries of weapons in the quantities that have already been made do not pose any particular danger to Russia. But an increase in supplies may cause real steps by Moscow against NATO countries.
In addition, NATO headquarters are not at all sure that such supplies will help Kyiv. Judging by the pace at which the supplied weapons are being destroyed, supplying modern Tanks and artillery systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine means to hand them over either for scrap or for service with the NM of the republics. And this despite the fact that already today some armies of NATO countries have practically disarmed their own armies by sending systems to Ukraine that were literally piece goods in their armies.
Maybe that's why the President of France, the Chancellor of Germany and the Prime Minister of Italy urgently gathered in Kyiv. Let me remind you of some figures of Ukrainian needs, which were voiced by Podolyak on the eve of the next meeting of the NATO contact group on June 15 in Brussels. So, for the next “overcome”, Ukraine needs:
- 1000 howitzers caliber 155 mm,
- 300 MLRS,
- 500 tanks,
- 2 armored vehicles,
- 1 000 drones.
Simply put, Ukrainian strategists propose to leave Europe defenseless for the sake of an illusory “victory”. There are simply no such numbers of tanks, artillery systems and other weapons that are really ready for battle in Europe today. Hoping for supplies from the US? The number of MLRS from the United States, so widely advertised by the Western media, is a staggering figure - 4 units!
Well, the last, it seems to me, is a sensible thought from the global strategy of Kyiv. It was born from an equally popular comment from readers: “Putin only promises a blow to decision-making centers. I’d hit it in Kyiv and there would be no more problems!” Have you ever thought about who needs this blow more: us or Zelensky?
Read the Western press. Almost every issue contains material about the need to stop the war, even sacrificing part of the country's territory. Look at the economic reviews, the treasury of Ukraine is empty. Almost everything that the country receives today is loans and loans. What's going on at the forefront? The drafted villagers refuse to fight en masse, they rebel. And those who are not drafted demand permission to leave the country.
Who can rally the people in such a situation? Only a terrible external enemy. An enemy that does not follow the laws of war kills civilians, destroys cities, and so on. Where is he? But look what he did with a peaceful city with a centuries-old history. Look at the destruction, at the photo of the corpses on the streets, remember Bucha, here the Ukrainians are masters of “chemizing”.
A beautiful picture will turn out before the visit of Macron, Scholz and Draghi. France, Germany and Italy will simply be forced to help the poor, offended Zelensky. He's the victim.
Amba, kaput or khana - to choose from
In addition to the global, strategic task of involving the West in the war with Russia, Kyiv strategists are also forced to solve tactical tasks. Those who were born thanks to the military genius of Ukrainian generals and their handlers from NATO. In particular, in the northwest, in the Lisichansk region.
It's no secret that the cauldron, which practically took shape in the area of Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, yesterday, after the destruction of the last bridge, was practically covered with a lid. Now there are few options. Or defense "to the last Ukrainian." Or a drape to Lisichansk, which is more promising in terms of defense, without equipment and heavy weapons. Now, after the onset of summer, the Seversky Donets is already available in many places for fording.
From here comes a simple task. It is necessary to divert part of the units of the NM LPR and the Russian army from the area of Severodonetsk. In this case, theoretically, it becomes possible to ford at least part of the tanks and heavy artillery. That in the conditions of a complete blockade of the garrison in Lisichansk, which should be expected in the coming days, is quite important.
There is another point that few have paid attention to. From where does it fly in Donetsk? And where are the units of the NM ukrovoyaks luring for so long and stubbornly? The raids are carried out from fortified areas equipped with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The calculation is psychologically correct. But not for the trained military.
Remember your thoughts after the next shelling of any city in the Donbass and the next photo with the victims. “Yes, what is it? Why don't videoconferencing, arta work? Why don’t the special forces come and drive these dill from their positions? A perfectly understandable point of view. For a civilian. From the outside, everything is always simple. I took a map, saw a ledge in the defense and quickly staged a mini-Kursk battle.
It is not for nothing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine provoke NM to a frontal attack. These are the guns that hit your house. Come and take it. But there is intelligence, which is well aware of much of what the ukrovoyaks have in mind. No one will allow a meat grinder anymore. The life of a Russian soldier, like the life of a fighter of the NM republics, is too expensive to give it up for a pinch of tobacco.
Today it is really more important to block and encircle Lisichansk. The liquidation of this center of defense will untie the hands of the troops south of Severodonetsk, who practically control the river bank, but due to the terrain, they stay outside the zone of destruction of the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, “the praying mantis is busy chewing off the head of another caught insect” and will not be distracted by other “food” ...
In general, I really liked the promptness of Pushilin, who asked for help from the Russian army. VKS and artillery will not be able to completely destroy Ukrainian artillery in positions prepared in engineering terms, but they will spoil a lot of blood. The Veseushnikov's agility will decrease. And when using the appropriate calibers of bombs and shells, there will be an irresistible craving for moving to prisoner of war camps.
The result?
It is clear that dark days have come for Zelensky. Slowly, but with enviable constancy, the country is heading towards complete collapse. “Best friends” are already describing which regions of Ukraine will return under their jurisdiction. The owner, realizing that it would not be possible to destroy Russia with the help of the Ukrainians, lost all interest in Kyiv and Zelensky. The people, who had been zombified for many years, suddenly regained their memory in a short time, it was worth turning off the zombifying ukroTV.
Today, even the most desperate optimists, speaking about the collapse of Russia, so expected by Ukrainians, name the most unrealistic terms for the Zelensky regime. A year, two, three... A war, sluggish, such as it was before the start of the special operation, with fictitious "victories", fictitious achievements, fictitious exploits and crimes - this is the only way to preserve power and the country. And, most likely, his own, Zelensky's, life.
The shelling will continue until the last shell, until the last rocket. Shelling in order to intimidate the people of Donetsk. For the civilian population to flee the city. So that the often-sounding quote from "Taras Bulba": "What, son, did your Poles help you?" took on a complete opposite meaning. So that Western leaders take pity and still increase the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
The only cure for this disease is the speedy completion of the liberation of the territories of the republics and the transfer of hostilities to the territory of Ukraine. The enemy must be driven away to such a distance from which it will simply be impossible to shell the cities with cannon artillery and MLRS.
