September 19 - Gunsmith Day

Professional holiday workers armory Industry - Armsman's Day was recently established in Russia. This year this holiday is celebrated in our country only for the third time. The initiative to establish Armory Day in Russia belongs to the legendary domestic designer Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov - the creator of the famous domestic AK-47 assault rifle. The date of the celebration of the Day of the gunsmith was not chosen by chance - on September 19, the Russian Orthodox Church honors the Archangel Michael, the leader of the Heavenly Army.

The traditions of the domestic arms industry are rooted in the distant past. Weapons and military affairs have gone hand in hand for centuries. The beginning of the domestic arms industry almost coincides with the discovery of gunpowder and the appearance of the first firearms. The first references to the use of gunpowder weapons in Russia date back to the 70th century. The development of the production of firearms with state support began in the 1701s of the XV century with the establishment in Moscow of a cannon, and then a powder yard, foundries and saltpeter factories, powder mills. In the XVI century, the Russian army was one of the most equipped in artillery, which at that time was called the "outfit." Mass production of weapons was organized in Russia under Peter the Great. In 1707, with the support of European experts, the Olonetsky (Petrovsky) arms factory was founded. In 1712, the “Gun yard” began its work in St. Petersburg. And in XNUMX it began story legendary weapons factory in Tula. In 1721, weapons production was opened in Sestroretsk. The glorious history of the Russian arms industry began, revealing to the world outstanding examples of small arms, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars, air defense systems and much more.

Today, the Russian arms industry is dozens of factories across the country, whose products are rightfully considered one of the best in the world. The production of weapons in Russia keeps pace with the times, domestic gunsmiths not only keep up with world trends, but define them using advanced advanced technologies in production and based on the age-old traditions of Russian weapons business.

We wish the national gunsmiths new creative success, stability and well-being in families, a peaceful sky over your head! Let the material results of their work serve as a reliable guarantee of the security of our Motherland and never be used in real combat conditions. Happy holiday, Happy Gunsmith Day!

An experiment was conducted to study the movement of a bullet in water. To do this, a shooter in light diving equipment was immersed in the pool: a wetsuit, scuba gear, cargo, and additional hearing protection was not applied. Shooting was carried out from a PC - a rifle cartridge of 7,62 mm with a light bullet. The results of the shooting showed that a bullet from a Kalashnikov machine gun (PC), a rifle cartridge of 7,62 mm, overcame 0,7-1 m.

Like any normal man, I love all these rattling bullets, but a weapon - it kills people. What kind of holiday is so misanthropic?
It would be better if Kalashnikov invented an alternative source of energy.

Baby, this is not a bullet, it’s even more dangerous than matches! You never heard the whistle of bullets (and God forbid)! Kalash - synonym RUSSIAN!!!

It’s not the weapon that kills, but the man, and Mikhail Timofeevich created his Masterpiece to defend his country, and therefore not the brilliant designer, but the murderer is tried for a murder. In general, I was surprised - today I have a military professional holiday. Then all the teachers and graduates of the Tula school of gunsmiths, and especially border guards - gunsmiths, have a holiday.

Yes, weapons kill, they were created for that. But not only it kills - a kitchen knife, a hammer, an ax, a "rose" and much more kills too. A weapon becomes dangerous only in the hands of a person.
Tell me, how then to protect your home from aggressors?

Well, yes, and the Russian creators of the atomic bomb should be shot at all, along with the designers of atomic submarines, because what deadly things would be better if they invented something peaceful, tolerant and shaking hands, right?

And that's not only, because you can't put a "thank you" in your pocket. He should have been given a car, an apartment and a lot of money for a long time, he deserved it but didn't get a nifig.

    Happy Russian and Soviet gunsmiths!

In Russia, the military-industrial complex is no longer "state-owned factories", but privatized and mostly vegetating, plundered, bankrupt factories, and therefore weapons are purchased abroad.

It is better to replace the compensator with a three-chamber one, not the factory one. Accuracy higher would be like Krebs does a good job.
