Klitschko: "Kiev is preparing for an emergency, for the fact that Putin will give the order for war"
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko made a statement in an interview with German journalists that "at the moment when 100 thousand Russian military personnel are on the borders with Ukraine, one cannot sit back and do nothing." According to the Kiev mayor, he ordered to organize civil defense in the city, "to be ready for any development of events."
Klitschko, in an interview with Bild, said that Kiev is preparing for an emergency "because of the risk of a Russian invasion."
Klitschko:
At the same time, the "mayor" added that such "preparations for Putin's order" are being carried out practically throughout Ukraine.
The mayor of the Ukrainian capital stressed that he was perplexed when "some say that Putin may not attack." Klitschko said that "this is reminiscent of the statements of some in 2014."
In the last "phase" of the interview, Klitschko, through German reporters, decided to appeal to the German authorities with an appeal to allow supplies to Ukraine weapons centrally, through NATO. Recall that Germany is blocking some of these supplies.
Klitschko:
The mayor of Kiev added that the Ukrainians need European support.
Judging by the construction of the interview itself, we can conclude that it was precisely for the call for the supply of weapons that it was started. And at the same time, in order to once again intimidate the German man in the street with the words about "100 thousand of Putin's military men at the Ukrainian borders and the proximity of the order to war."
