Ukrainian armored vehicles "Kozak-2M1" will be equipped with Turkish combat modules
Turkey and Ukraine are building up their military-technical cooperation. According to the Ukrainian media, Turkish combat modules have been selected to equip Ukrainian armored vehicles.
Ukrainian armored cars "Kozak-2M1" will be equipped with Sarp combat modules manufactured by Aselsan. At the moment, it is reported about the possibility of installing two modules - Sarp Dual and Sarp Zafer. Both modules allow you to control weapons while inside the armored car. At the same time, Sarp Dual allows you to simultaneously control two types weaponsinstalled on the module, for example, with two machine guns of 7,62 and 12,7 mm caliber at once. Or one machine gun and an automatic grenade launcher. The weapon mounted on the Sarp Zafer BM can be reloaded from inside the armored car.
Both combat modules have already been installed on Kozak-2M1 armored vehicles and demonstrated to the head of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhny. New items received positive reviews.
According to the available information, both modules are currently undergoing tests, based on the results of which a decision on their purchase will be made.
It should be noted that Turkey does not intend to stop selling combat modules to Ukraine, Aselsan is trying to convince the Ukrainian military that they urgently need the Korkut short-range air defense system, which is an anti-aircraft artillery system armed with a 35-mm automatic cannon, designed to destroy low-flying targets - aircraft , helicopters, drones and missiles. Whether Kyiv will find funds for the purchase of anti-aircraft systems, that's the question.
