I read the European press and remember the documentary footage from the Civil War with the posters "A woman is also a man!" A full hall of women workers and collective farmers applauding the brilliant report of Rosa Luxemburg and the speeches of other participants in the women's congress.
I understand, my associations look strange from the outside. European affairs today and the congress of women in Russia a hundred years ago. And try to replace the word "woman" with "European" in the slogan. And everything will fall into place.
The Europeans began the traditional autumn aggravation. I will not write about the fact that “Putin is to blame for everything”. In order not to harm their own pride in their country. The funny "the cat abandoned the kittens - it's Putin's fault" has already become a reality today. We can do anything and everywhere! In the opinion of those who are not us.
Europeans today are actively debating whether the Americans will abandon Europe or not.
Who is more important for the US now: NATO or AUKUS?
This is understandable. If the Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation) managed to pile on the formidable American marines and rangers, then the Russians with Europe will do it much more efficiently.
And then what should poor Europe do?
The bubble, called NATO, rests largely on the strength of the United States, not the European armies.

Every year, in spring and autumn, Europeans remember that they are people too, that they live in countries with rich history victories and defeats in many wars. They think that once upon a time their ancestors were warriors who were not afraid of anyone.
Every year Europeans, especially Germans and French, talk about the need to create some kind of European army. And every year, with the onset of cold weather or heat, conversations stop. This is understandable. In winter I don't want to work because of the slush, and in summer because I want to go to the beach. And no one is particularly eager to serve in this very army.
In recent years, the European Union for some reason imagines itself to be the equal of the United States. European officials more and more often hint to the Americans that it would not be bad to consult with them on some issues. What makes a healthy laugh in Washington.
Imagine a fisherman, who consults with a worm, where to cast a fishing rod?
Europe's chief diplomat, Barrell, recently said that the Americans shouldn't have consulted with the EU when they created AUKUS. Sort of offended. And ... I immediately remembered about the European army. Europe must act independently in defense matters! Of course it should.
Even Biden doesn't deny it. Take action! Express concern, accept sanctions, award prizes to criminals from Russia. You can even bully the Russians on the eastern borders of the EU. There are enough lovers to be afraid of the Russian occupation. Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova ...

Germans and French are tired of wandering around the "field of miracles in the land of fools"

What is the offense of the Europeans?
It's just that, as it turned out, Washington does not at all consider the same Germans or French as a serious force, for serious countries. I recalled the speech of NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg about which countries are the most important for NATO:
"Norway and Iceland in the north, Turkey in the south, the US, Canada and the UK in the west play key roles in ensuring European security."
So, no matter how many hectares of the field a horse plows, it will never be invited to spend the night in the master's house. Unlike the lazy cat. Europeans have understood how the "field of miracles" works and want to become "Basilio's cat". European businesses also want a guaranteed income from appeals to defend themselves.
