The Kazakhstani Defense Ministry is ready to adopt the Barys 8x8 multipurpose armored vehicle, state tests of the equipment have been completed. This was reported on the website of the State Defense Order Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Barys 8x8 wheeled combat vehicle (BKM) was tested for four years. The Kazakstan Paramount Engineering company, created jointly with the South African company Paramount Group, presented this armored vehicle back in 2017. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan began testing BMV.

"Barys" 8x8 is designed specifically for the Kazakh army, positioned as a multipurpose armored vehicle equipped with advanced technologies, capable of performing the functions of both an armored personnel carrier and an infantry fighting vehicle. The declared characteristics: length - 8 m, width - 2,8 m, height on the roof - 2,4 m. Combat weight, depending on the configuration - up to 28 tons. Max. speed - 100 km / h, cruising range - 500 km. Crew - 2-3 people, landing - 8 people.

Reservation provides protection against small arms weapons, fragments and mines. The declared level is level 3 STANAG 4569. The bottom is flat, but provides protection at level 4B (up to 10 kg in TNT equivalent), energy-absorbing chairs are installed.

A remotely controlled combat module Ansar, developed in Kazakhstan, is installed as a weapon. The module is equipped with a 2 mm 72A30 automatic cannon, a PKT 7,62 mm coaxial machine gun, and smoke grenades. Provided for the installation of ATGM.

BKM "Barys" 8x8 is fully ready for adoption, the decision is for the Kazakh Ministry of Defense.

Nothing special, apparently, not floating (where to swim there?), And the armament is standard. Why not BTR-82?
Question to the Kazakh MO. Probably, the South Africans have "thicker" kickbacks ... wassat

Because Barys is an order of magnitude more secure and more convenient than the BTR-82 and they make it themselves.

Why would Kazakhstan pay money to Russia for outdated equipment when there is an opportunity to give money to its enterprises and get a modern powerful armored personnel carrier ?!

That's right, there is no need.

Kazakhs are great. And we still will not give birth to Boomerang. It's already a shame, but soon it will be shameful.

In Lithuania, armored personnel carriers are more powerful than in Russia.

Did I ask you something? Yes, the priority is armament, which, if something happens, will help to weigh down absolutely any enemy. Including your owners, breeding their penguins and floating troughs on a large scale, with which you regularly polish your ass here.
Obviously, priority has been given to strategic weapons, air defense missile defense, etc. So that ordinary soldiers do not have to die later in these armored personnel carriers of yours. So only your opinion is useless here. And most likely your attempts are connected with the fact that no matter how much your idols push, you still cannot achieve superiority

Right now, I do not see any particular reason for frustration with light armored vehicles and there is nothing to be ashamed of. There was much more reason for frustration in the 80s. Then the BTR-70, 80 had a small tower without an electric drive and even without a sunroof and only with a large-caliber machine gun, they did not even consider it necessary to install a 23-mm cannon. But then there were serious hostilities, for almost ten years.

Are you offering Russia to fight with hypersonic missiles alone ?!

Russia is almost 10 times more populous in Kazakhstan and has significant resources, so it would be high time for us to have a new armored personnel carrier in the troops, at least in some units, and some of them should be equipped with KAZ.

Yes, and for the most part we have to fight on land, and now we are inferior in the quality of land weapons in almost all directions. And every conflict demonstrates this to us, but until we wash ourselves abundantly with blood, nothing moves.

What prevented for a long time from making a couple of dozen of the same Boomerangs and sending them to the same Syria,
so that you don't have to go there on patrols in old BTR-82s?

What prevents KAZ from making for armored vehicles and, again, delivering it to our fighters
and our ally Syria and test it there in battle, and give them at least some protection against ATGM and RPG?

Where are the videos of the use of successful weapons from our UAVs of the type that Bayraktars counted in 44 days of the war? Instead, Putin was given a video clip from a computer game. This is generally a shame. Who and what is doing there in the Ministry of Defense, that the first person of the country is being deceived with a false video from YouTube?

All this would help save the lives of our soldiers and more successfully complete missions.

But this is not the case and it is a shame and it is not necessary to say that the whole country is now making hypersonic missiles.

In my opinion, it is necessary to ask harder for the result and for each allocated penny.

BTR Kazakh. Combat module Kazakh. All this is collected in Kazakhstan.

And anyone can buy iron, an engine and wheels, but not every one of these armored personnel carriers will assemble. And a good armored personnel carrier.

At the same time, Kazakhs know how to count money, why should they build a plant for the production of individual modules - an engine, transmission, etc. when it is easier and cheaper for them to buy 500 sets of engines and transmissions ready-made and make 500 armored personnel carriers out of them.

And they build factories for the production of modules, then what to do when the required number of armored personnel carriers will be delivered to the troops? Close only. Moreover, even the mothballed production facilities will draw huge amounts of money for the maintenance of these facilities.

If Kazakhstan did everything for the armored personnel carriers only himself, he would have created them much later and at a price they would have come out much more expensive.

For the same reason, Israel uses imported modules for its Merkava tank and nothing, God forbid everyone fights on.

But Russia has everything of its own and engines and transmissions and armor, there are only no new armored personnel carriers in the troops))).

And there is no technology of increased protection against mines (MRAP), where it is needed, but Kazakhstan does not care that this is a copy of the South African Morader, the main thing is that he is and he will save, and our fighters in Syria are dying in Kamaz and old Armored personnel carriers.

          It's a shame.

Kazakhstan took and made an excellent modern armored personnel carrier, and the fact that it used ready-made modules and ready-made developments is only a plus for them, because they got the maximum result in a short time.

Moreover, this is the development of a private company.

The design of this armored personnel carrier was carried out by a Kazakhstani private company and jointly with the South African people, but it was the Kazakhs who made this armored personnel carrier.

We took what we could from others, refined it and showed an excellent result.

Just like the Merkava tank, it is an Israeli tank, despite the fact that the engine, transmission, cannon and much more have not been done in Israel.

Lithuania does not need to make its own armored personnel carriers, it is cheaper and faster for them to buy them.

Under a contract signed three years ago, Lithuania is purchasing 88 armored personnel carriers with a 30 mm turret gun and a 7,62 mm coaxial machine gun, also equipped with Spike anti-tank missile launchers. This number includes three training armored personnel carriers, simulators and training facilities, repair and technical equipment. In Lithuania, instead of the Boxer APC, it was decided to give the name Vilkas. Completion of the contract is scheduled for 2021.

Enough to drive across the square. And they can buy more if needed.

Well done Kazakhs. And where are our Boomerangs and other Kurgan residents? Still "experiencing"? It's just some kind of shame.

      By and large, I agree
but the comparison is not correct
Boomerang and Kurganets were developed from scratch.
The Kazakhs, on the other hand, have ready-made blanks and solutions from South Africa.

Our cars were shown in hardware and on the move in 2015, right? And they said that soon they will go to the troops in a straight stream. 2021 is already ending. Where is all this beauty in the troops, at least one battalion kit is there somewhere? If something is still heard about Armata, then both Boomerang and Kurganets have completely disappeared from sight.

          Official application from 04.02.2020.
State tests of the promising Kurganets-25 and Boomerang combat vehicles are scheduled to be completed in 2022, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

I am aware of this. We know how to make applications for "excellent", you yourself know that. How many of these statements have been made over the past years? It's just that it takes anger when you see BMP-1/2 in parts, but here they can't get tested for seven years.

on the other hand, you probably understand that there will not be enough money and production capacity to quickly replace the fleet of Soviet armored personnel carriers / infantry fighting vehicles
so it turns out whatever one may say, but it's not quick

Of course, this is a long-term project. But they can't even start right there. Or they don't want to.

The Kazakstan Paramount Engineering company, created jointly with the South African company Paramount Group, presented this armored vehicle back in 2017.

In fact, Barys 8x8 was presented at ARMY-2016
