Ukraine has become an exporter of military armored vehicles to the United States. According to the deputy head of Ukroboronprom, Mikhail Morozov, one Dozor-B armored vehicle has been delivered to the United States.
At the exhibition held in Kiev "Weapon and security-2021 "Morozov spoke about the prospects of Ukrainian enterprises that are part of Ukroboronprom, including international contacts. The Americans will "like" the car so much that they will start buying it in large quantities. ”When the delivery took place, he did not specify.
The Americans bought the Dozor armored vehicle from Ukrspetsexport. A contract for over 500 thousand dollars. I hope they like the cars, give up their Hummers and buy our Patrols.
- Ukrainian media quoted Morozov as saying.
The Dozor-B armored car was developed at the Kharkov Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau (KMDB) and is produced at the Lviv Armored Plant. The first batch of 10 vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received back in 2016. The armored car was adopted by the Ukrainian army in July last year after correcting numerous shortcomings (including problems with armor) and repeated tests. Despite this, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to purchase Oncilla armored vehicles, which are the Polish copy of Dozor.
By the way, at the beginning of this year in Lviv they announced the conclusion of export contracts for the Dozor-B armored vehicle, but the country or countries where the delivery of armored vehicles is planned, as well as their number, declined to be named.
