The total amount of contracts for the supply of Russian weapons and military equipment over the past year and since the beginning of this year amounted to more than $ 1,7 billion. At the moment, in this part of the continent, 17 states have become buyers of Rosoboronprom's products, as stated by its general director.

The enterprise, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, supplies helicopters, air defense systems, armored vehicles, special equipment for law enforcement, firearms and much more to the countries located south of the Sahara.

Rosoboronexport intends to participate in the Shield Africa 2021 arms exhibition, which will be held from June 8 to 10 in the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, Abidjan. There, the company will hold presentations of products that are in demand in the region - armored personnel carriers BTR-80, BTR-80A, BTR-82A, a wide range of Kalashnikov assault rifles, including AK-19 and AK-308 not previously supplied to Africa.
