Mina long acting
If the activity of Colonel Gaddafi provoked a suspiciously large number of questions from the West, then Russia has its own colonel, who has recently been decided by the domestic justice to take, as they say, in full. This is Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov. The ex-officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate for the past seven years has learned well what it means if the country's judicial system really does not breathe for you.
As is known, Kvachkov is a man who was accused of attempting to assassinate the most important combinator of modernity, Mr. Chubais. After an explosive device worked in one of the roads near Moscow in the immediate vicinity of the car in which Anatoly Borisovich was located, the investigation decided that the mine was the machinations of Kvachkov and his accomplices. The ex-colonel was charged with the assassination attempt and brought before the most humane court in the world. However, those who decided to bring Kvachkov to the court did not expect that the Russian court could be the most humane. As a result, the jurors rendered their “not guilty” verdict, and Kvachkov wanted to start celebrating the victory, but ... It was Anatoly Borisovich who felt sincere and genuine feelings for Vladimir Vasilyevich, or the General Prosecutor’s Office, except Kvachkov, had no one else in the cage, but as a result, an even more humane organization of the country than a regular court, namely the Supreme Court, overturned the sentence and sent the former intelligence officer back to jail. In 2010, Kvachkov was again acquitted, and the stronghold of domestic humanism, the Supreme Court, confirmed the acquittal verdict, thus breaking the vicious circle of Kvachkov - mine - Chubais.
However, after this acquittal decision, many realized that the chief specialist on “nano” had no “nano” hands at all, but very long hands. The fact is that Kvachkov, who did not have time to celebrate his victory, was detained again, and since it was somehow embarrassing to accuse him of the attempt on Chubais, they decided to “test” the colonel for assisting terrorist activities and even an attempt to organize an armed insurgency . And here, you understand, there is only a nanosight to justify on all 100%.
But, despite the gravity of the charges, the retired colonel continues to win even small, but rather sharp victories. In particular, during the week he, together with his lawyer, sued 450 thousands of rubles from the Ministry of Finance in compensation for the prosecution of the Chubais case. True, Kvachkov demanded about 50 millions (for 1 thousand for each day he was in jail), but so far the court hasn’t been so “overwhelmed” that he scattered with the money earned by Anton Siluanov’s office.
By the way, Anatoliy Borisovich himself could have paid the remaining amount to the injured Kvachkov, but that wasn't all smooth either, so either nanorubli or privatization checks lying around with 90's ... But Chubais needed nanorubli himself, so that he could keep better ...
“Walk the Horse” or Scare Lukashenko with the Kyrgyz Ambassador ...
Kyrgyzstan, having recently become a parliamentary republic, unexpectedly for many lost its government. The smiling Prime Minister Babanov, who announced at the Moscow meeting that the issue of Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Customs Union is already a matter of business, is being dismissed. A pig, or rather a horse, was planted by Omurbek Babanov, one of the parliamentary factions, saying that the prime minister was a bribe taker and a embezzler. As evidence of the corruption component in the radiant Babanov, the parliamentarians provided photos of the English stallion Islander One.
Well, so what? - people who are not dedicated to the livestock of the Kyrgyz livestock may say, - yes, the Kirghiz literally through one must have their own horses. Maybe there are horses, but it turns out that only one person has a stallion worth 1 of a million real dollars in this country, and by coincidence of circumstances the head of the government of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov has this person.
Well, so what, - again, people who are not privy to the secrets of the Kyrgyz budget can say - yes, maybe he set aside money and bought the stallion; Our officials are now saving up at home abroad, and why not save Babanov on a horseman? It seems to be true why not to save up, but the whole trouble is that according to official data, the salary of the highest Kyrgyz official is no more than 2,5 thousand dollars (with the average 80 $ in the country). Therefore, Omurbek Toktogulovich would have to save on the English stallion for more than 30 years, and such a period at the head of the government is extremely difficult to hold on to, even if working in tandem.
Well, and what of this - the last time people will say, who still believe in the infallibility of the officials and ours, and Kyrgyz, - yes, maybe this stallion was given to Babanov ... And in fact, the Kyrgyz parliamentarians found out that Islander One is a gift from a certain businessman who received permission to build an air navigation tower at Manas airport, which has international status. In general, now Omurbek Toktogulovich will ride his black horse away from the government complex and occasionally spur his mount, calling that corruption nag.
During the week, Kyrgyzstan marked another event: President Atambayev decided to withdraw the ambassador from Minsk. This happened due to the unwillingness of the Belarusian side to consider the issue of extradition of the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan Zhanybek Bakiyev to Bishkek as soon as possible. After President Atambayev saw photographs depicting some members of the Bakiyev family in Minsk (and the landscapes of Minsk seem to be very familiar to him), he decided to probe the ground about issuing the “family” to his homeland. But President Lukashenko, through his competent authorities, in his characteristic diplomatic manner, said that he did not extradite political persecuted persons. Then Almazbek Sharshenovich lost his temper and announced the recall of the ambassador from Belarus. Well, y'know, scared ... Does the “dad” get upset about the fact that the next ambassador has been recalled somewhere and by someone. Yes, Alexander G. on these recalled ambassadors had already managed to eat the dog. He has these ambassadors still a dime a dozen ...
"Unconventional" hazing
Another unflattering fact emerged this week related to new forms of non-statutory relations in the Russian army. The military prosecutor's office found that on one of the ships of the Baltic Fleet there were systematic beatings of sailors serving on conscription by contract military servicemen.
The ship “Guarding” appeared in the criminal reports after the information appeared that the contractual composition of the vessel using the methods of “traditional hazing” “correctly” subordinates the younger ones to their elders. In particular, the contract sailor N. beat up the sailors-conscripts M. and S., motivating their actions with the “military traditions”.
This, unfortunately, is not the only case of the so-called contract hazing. Periodically information about this kind of non-statutory relations comes from different military units of the country. Not so long ago, the investigation confirmed that at the Astrakhan training ground "Ashuluk" contract servicemen beat up one soldier serving in conscription. In one of the parts of the Voronezh region, an incident was recorded in which contract soldiers forced conscripts to perform official duties instead of themselves with the help of “traditional” intimidation techniques and beatings. Those who refused were beaten. And these examples are far from being singular. After all, fathers-commanders simply try not to endure rubbish from the hut.
It turns out that the reduction of the service life in the ranks of the Russian Army, which was supposed to lead to the eradication of non-statutory relations, now leads to new forms of hazing. However, as popular wisdom says, in any herd there is a black sheep. Among the military units there will definitely be one in which hazing will thrive under any conditions and terms of service. Even if the service life is reduced to one week, it still turns out that somewhere was drawn, sorry, the mug, which decided to “teach the fighters to the mind” and during that time ...
And the words that the facts of contract hazing will be dismissed from the service - look like half measures. Perhaps today's contract servicemen who are trying to revive the hazing system forget that there are disciplinary battalions in our country ready to accept any ideological inspirer of “traditional” forms of army education for re-education. It would be nice to create here and "contract companies." Here a person will serve here faithfully, dragging concrete blocks from place to place, sit in the guardhouse on the orders of the commander for having an excessive desire to show his arrogance, so you see, and civilization will begin to penetrate into this warrior. Since we are talking about traditions, then traditions must be followed to the end ...
"Concerned" Japanese
Ships of the Pacific fleet Russia has begun its fifth in a row “Campaign of memory”. This is a militaryhistorical an event during which today's sailors will pay tribute to the sailors of the past, who laid down their heads during the Second World War. In addition, the sea voyage is dedicated to the 365th anniversary of the foundation of the cradle of the Pacific Fleet - the city of Okhotsk. The detachment will consist of a large landing ship "Admiral Nevelskaya" and the sea tug "Kalar".
The highlight of the program promises to be the entry of Russian military vessels to the ports of the Kuril Islands - Iturup, Paramushir and Kunashir. And this is connected not so much with the program of events itself, as with the reaction of the Japanese side, which already in its usual manner expresses "extreme concern" with the campaign. But rather actively and in a positive light, Chinese news agencies are covering the campaign of Russian warships. Why would the Chinese be so happy about the Russian mission towards the Kuril Ridge? Yes, the fact is that China today is ready to support any injection in the address of Japan, which shows persistence about the controversial Senkaku (Diaoyu). A campaign of Russian ships, which can distract Japan, today for China is just from a series of such shots.
True, we must frankly admit that both the stormy joy of the Chinese and the concern of the Japanese to the Russian sailors should be, as they say, on the side. The maritime trip takes place exclusively within the borders of the Russian state, and therefore all comments on this issue from foreign states should be taken calmly and even, as Dmitry Medvedev recently put it, when visiting the Kuril Islands, it doesn’t matter ...
In the end, the Japanese have long to remind you that you have to be able to lose. But then, you know, the Japanese people will not understand that there will be no “Kem parish”. Well, if you really want new lands, then you can follow the Dutch example to the Land of the Rising Sun - to dry a couple of islands for yourself, and to name them as you please - at least “Japanese Kurils”, even “Tokyo Habomai”. Well, the Japanese, it seems, the nation is not at all stupid - the machines do good, so let the apparatus for the production of islands from the Pacific depths build and dry their sushi as much as necessary ...
"I would learn Russian only for that ..."
In the week, it was confirmed that those arriving to work and live in Russia from abroad would be required to take an exam on knowledge of the Russian language. At the same time, the resolution states that the exam will be taken starting from next year.
It would seem that the idea is quite clear: if you want to live and work in the Russian Federation - at least learn the basics of the language, if you don’t want to learn - “come on, bye”. However, many representatives of foreign labor communities say that they will have to pay for passing the exam, which most of the guest workers are not going to do. But, by and large, migrant workers in Russia are not really going to do much: neither register, nor pay taxes, nor undergo a medical examination. The tasks of many: to come, settle down, transport a good half of a village or another native settlement, and everything else, as they say, will follow. But the Federal Migration Service is also fixing its machinations in order to “oppress” the peaceful laborers who arrived from Moldova, Tajikistan and other republics, who are trying to turn the tale of the rubber city into reality.
True, with the exam in the Russian language, everything is somehow ambiguous. It is not yet clear in what form it will be held. If the tilers from Kulyab or plasters from Yshtyk need to write an essay on the assessment: “The first ball of Natasha Rostova” or “Birch in the works of Yesenin”, then the cities of Russia can remain completely unfixed and not tiled with tiles ... Now, it seems it is clear why the Moscow authorities wanted to abandon the use of the tile, and switch to the good old asphalt: apparently, Sergei Sobyanin held a preliminary exam in the Moscow mayor's office, and realized that Natasha Rostov and Birch are difficult even for capital officials
However, we will not dramatize. Perhaps, already soon each of us, passing by the skyscraper under construction, will hear the recitation of the works of Apollo Maikov and Anna Akhmatova. And in a trolley bus or a subway car one can see a person in boots covered with a layer of cement who holds a Paustovsky's volume in his torn hands and makes notes in his scribbled notebook ...
Part II. Easy life
American USSR in Central Asia
About "New Silk Road" and easy exchange of goods and services
This week, August 21, Assistant Secretary General for South and Central Asia, Robert Blake Jr., spoke to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives with a presentation on the concept of US presence in Central Asia. American geopolitical visions are based on downright Hollywood pictures of a prosperous Afghanistan. Moreover, this mountainous country will have to bloom already in 2014 year - right by the date of the withdrawal of American troops from there. The rails of the Washington strategy in the region are laid along the route of the so-called “New Silk Road”.
Mr blake said: “Central Asia is becoming increasingly important for the United States: Afghanistan must be integrated into a stable, secure, and prosperous region. We foresee the emergence of a region where goods and services are widely and easily exchanged between the countries of Central and South Asia and Afghanistan. ”
To make this very easy exchange a reality, Mr. Blake, on behalf of the United States, announced the reorientation of the economic ties of the former Soviet Central Asian republics with Russia to other neighboring countries. The very center of the network of transit and economic ties will be Afghanistan, something like the local RSFSR. Indeed, why should America not take advantage of the fruits of the collapse of the USSR? The countries of the “path” are expected to be Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
However, Robert Blake Jr. has so far visited only Uzbekistan. Tajikistan and so will not go anywhere, he must have thought. As for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, where the Americans were expected, there were somewhat disappointed with the cancellation of his visit. Even there is an opinionAs if such a gesture by Mr. Blake is incorrect.
But Mr. Blake has no opinion. His task is to implement the regional strategy of the world hegemon, and he performs his task.
Uzbekistan today is the territory of a big political game. The Americans last year recognized that democracy in Uzbekistan is on the right track. In the fall of 2011, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved the a law that allowed America to give Uzbekistan money to buy military equipment. At the same time, an American-Uzbek business forum was held in Washington, attended by a delegation of Uzbek businessmen headed by Eler Ganiev, the foreign minister. At the meeting with him, Hillary Clinton stated unequivocally that Uzbekistan today "shows signs of improving human rights and expanding political freedoms." Later, Barack Obama himself phoned Islam Karimov to discuss with him ways of withdrawing troops and military equipment from Afghanistan through the territory of Uzbekistan. Not for nothing 28 June Tashkent has suspended its membership in the CSTO (which previously commented on the "Military Review").
Therefore, one should not be surprised that Mr. Blake ignored, for example, Kazakhstan. This country is rather closely integrated with Russia, moreover, on the basis of merit, he sees himself as a regional leader. An attempt to involve Kazakhstan in a union where the Americans who see Afghanistan as the center will set the tone is doomed to failure. But Uzbekistan is also fighting for regional leadership, which periodically makes curtsies to fraternal America. Tashkent had previously left the CSTO, and then entered back, having seemed to Washington to be a not entirely democratic state. But as soon as America decided to withdraw its troops and equipment from Afghanistan, democracy instantly improved in Uzbekistan.
Politicians in the White House are sufficiently far-sighted that, after drawing Uzbeks to their side and then Kyrgyz, they can start flirting with Kazakhs as well. Whether this turns out or not is another question. But worth a try. Moreover, the “New Silk Road” is a very tasty morsel. The fact that Mr. Yeltsin gave back to the "sovereignty" with ease is just as easily planned by the Americans.
True, the question arises: what, in fact, supporters of the American USSR in Central Asia, suggest a new way to carry? And how can Afghanistan, one of the poorest countries in the world, suddenly become the core of a “stable, secure and prosperous region”? Has Mr. Karimov taken on to subsidize the Afghans? Or the poppy economy of the recent Colombian model is coming in the region, where American consultants, experts and advisers will play the roles of drug barons, which Washington stumbles on the New Silk Road just as thickly as a fence in dachas in Russia? Well, what else can explain the completely inexplicable, sort of sudden "prosperity" of Afghanistan?
If you move away from the heroin theme, it will become clear: in Afghanistan they can make money on the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India. Of course they can, but it is doubtful whether Turkmenistan will fill this pipeline. And in general, this is only a project about which supporters of world democracy can make noise in order to cover the topic of drugs with which the Taliban fight in Afghanistan rather than the Americans.
The coming economic success of the “new way” is a purely informational “duck”. There are no prerequisites for prosperity. Mountains, bad roads or their complete absence, rather different interests of the border countries, political instability, finally, the mentioned poverty of Afghanistan - all this can not be corrected in any way by the 2014 year. Only a brain that absorbed the sponge of American propaganda can believe in a sudden bright future for Afghanistan, which
The goal of the United States in Central Asia is not the economy, but the creation of an imperialist corner near Russia. which will allow to solve a number of tasks: 1) to weaken the influence of Moscow in the region and establish itself there once and for all; 2) ensure if not a real American victory weapons in Afghanistan, then informational; 3) arrange transit routes for large-scale withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in 2014, and then use the installed routes as permanent ones.
What will American merchants carry on the “New Silk Road”? Do you think 65-inch LED-TVs or quad-standard "Hi-End" labeled "Made in Afghanistan"? Not. American masters, as in former times, speaking of the fight against drugs, will regale the world, including Russia, with Afghan agricultural products.
The fate of the anti-multiculturalist
Planes will not fly in the sky over Breivik
This week, the terrorist Anders Breivik was recognized (as he hotly wanted) sane and convicted to the fullest: they gave 21 a year of prison. This is the maximum under humane Norwegian laws, and no one except Mr. Breivik has been so severely punished. Not only is the term can be extended - in the event that it is recognized that the prisoner still constitutes a threat to society. According to democratic Norwegian law, this can be recognized once every five years.
Judge Arne Lund сказалthat A. Breivik wanted to “violate the foundations of the functioning of society, destroy the leaders of the country and instill fear in people”. The murderer, according to the court, acted with terrifying cruelty, but was fully aware of his actions.
Breivik met the sentence with an undisguised smile. With joy, I should say, met. And why is the killer sad? His ideas (proven in practice) are now known to the world, he is not officially considered crazy, and the conditions of his future life are such that many free people can envy him. Online already Yes blogs dedicated to Breivik. In them, the killer is called "a man who broke the shackles of hypocritical political correctness imposed on our world", whose actions instilled "in the hearts of millions of people the hope that everything is not lost yet."
The Internet is full of photos of a three-room “camera” in the Il prison, in which the killer of a 77 man settles. The anti-multiculturalist will have a television and a computer. His new "apartment of improved planning" consists of a bedroom, an office and a gym. The whole wing in the building of the Il prison was specially remade, providing the fenced yard for the solitary walks. No need to think of Breivik about looking for work and in general about work. You don't need to think about money either. On its content will spend 680.000 euros per year (for comparison: the Norwegian authorities spend 110.000 euros per year on an ordinary prisoner). The prisoners will be served by prison security personnel and local canteen and laundry workers. Ideal conditions for the writer, what an outstanding Norwegian considers himself to be. Comfortable and quiet. Even planes on the prison will not fly: the airspace over Ila announced no-fly zone.
Breivik has already started writing an autobiography. Having finished it, he will undertake other books. The terrorist feels an urgent need to clarify his ideology to the world. He is not going to appeal the sentence. What is the point? He is pleased with everything. His new harmonious life can be broken only by minor friction with the prison staff. For example, the time will come to upgrade or replace a morally obsolete laptop, on which the new version of Call of Duty will not launch, but will be denied. Or a prison waiter will give a salad salad stale, and the head of the laundry room will change the laundry not on the seventh day, but on the eighth.
Vodka, champagne and books about Putin
On the growing friendship between Russia and the British Conservatives
On August 21, the British conservatives, after drinking vodka, champagne, and eating a barbecue or potato, confessed their friendship to Russia.
It would be so long! And then some hostile talk about "Pussy Riot". It's time to forget this indecent phrase and move on to something more cultural. “Jomini da Jomini, but not a word about vodka,” as the old hussar sang.
Organization "Conservative Friends of Russia" three months ago основал British PR consultant Richard Royal (in the past - assistant deputy). The honorary president of the association was Sir Malcolm Rifkind, the former British foreign minister and honorary president of the Tory parliament faction, and John Whittingdale, vice president of the parliamentary committee on culture. Radio station "Freedom"Incidentally, both politicians have not previously been seen in pro-Russian statements.
Officially, the organization was registered on August 13, and eight days later its first event took place. Comrade Royal is undoubtedly an excellent organizer. And I did not forget about vodka.
At the 21 August party, members of the British parliament, journalists, businessmen, guests and Russian diplomats (including, of course, Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko) a total of about 250 people were treated to. It was noisy and fun, and those who did not come (for example, Laborites or conservative Nigel Fletcher) sat in their houses and apartments, laughing and winning the lottery - who have English-language books about Putin, who have a bottle of real Russian vodka, and who have an evening at a restaurant "Marie the Bath," they envied darkly.
Fletcher, party curator of the Olympic issues, wrote in his Twitter account that he would not go to the barbecue to the “Ambassador Putin” and hoped that his colleagues would bring up the topic of human rights at the banquet. Presumably, colleagues ridiculed his party member's boring and drunk vodka with the brand "Soyuzplodoimport" or "Crystal" for his health.
Involuntarily advertised a barbecue party, thereby contributing to the strengthening of Russian-British friendship, Labor Party Denis McShane, former British Minister for European Relations, a fan of the songs “Pussy Riot” and not at all a friend of Russia. McShane call a holiday of friendship held at the embassy, "grotesque" and "unhealthy." Laborist did not like the fact that the Russians met informally with the British, while his beloved “pusks” were languishing in prison - they were sitting somewhere in a cold cell, and outside the window an icy wind blew, sweeping through the terrible Russian open spaces with white August snow.
McShane couldn’t sew “Friends” on anything bad and compromising, besides ignoring the scandalous panquettes, and therefore blurted out sadly that they supposedly discredit the face of the conservative party around the world.
He also found fault with the fact that it was fashionable to be friends with Russia in Soviet times. Obviously alluding to Putin’s authoritarianism, the politician said: “Friendship groups with Russia were a distinctive feature of the left during the years of the existence of communist regimes.”
He and other "critics" of friendship decided to find out who pays for champagne and dinner, but even then they failed to dig up compromising material. It turns out that PR consultant Richard Royal all accounts paid for out of pocket. The organization has no support from the Russian government and funded by exclusively from the wallets of enthusiasts-private traders.
Opponents of the Russian-British friendship had no choice but to try to accuse the British Tories of close ties with the United Russia party. As an argument, they have uttered a pitiful cry that the site "Conservative Friends of Russia" contains links to articles from the pro-Kremlin resource pravda.ru. “One of these articles, titled“ The pitiful meow of Pussy Riot, claims that the court treated the girls “softly,” and accuses them of “sexual perversions”, - пишет the Guardian newspaper.
It is clear that the theme of friendship, the mouthpieces of the English democracy, in abundance among the Laborists and the editors of the Guardian, prefer the theme of worshiping frenzied vaginas and the Cold War. These freedom-loving people could heed the rational arguments of Sir Malcolm Rifkind: “Friends of Russia are not the same as friends of the Russian government. It would be foolish to boycott everything Russian ... It is much worse not to have any contact. ”
"For three hours, - пишет London consultant Ignatius Dyakov, - I managed to get acquainted with completely different people, and everyone agreed that the organizers could bring together people who could hardly cross at some other events. Over the past year and a half, I have been attending one or two such events a week. But to move from a conversation with a student from Bristol to an acquaintance with the former deputy mayor of London (a stunning charisma man!), Discuss the possibilities of joint business with a competitor from Wales, be introduced to the ambassador and talk with an embassy employee who was familiar only with “Twitter”, exchanging a few words with a familiar pianist and bowing with the director of the local Pushkin House - I didn’t have such opportunities one evening. ”
So, for once, Russia has made friends. True geopolitical: they drink vodka, read books about Putin in English and believe in the triumph of conservatism, not some liberal doctrine with its freedom of speech and deed, homosexuality on the streets, at universities and the Pentagon, with a true belief in democratic victory Al Qaeda "in Syria. And even about
Let's hope that a few dozen people who eat with our diplomats respect Russia not only for a glass of vodka. I want to believe that there are people in the world, including among politicians who prefer peace to war, hot or cold, and unity rather than democracy.
For this, my friends, is worth a drink!
