Russia will supply China with 55 multipurpose helicopters Mi-171
According to the contract signed in July, Russia will supply X-NUMX multipurpose Mi-55E helicopters to China, Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Vyacheslav Dzirkaln said on Tuesday, refusing to disclose the value of the contract.
In July of this year, Rosoboronexport signed a contract for the supply of 55 Mi-171 to China, ”Dzirkaln reported, reports Interfax.
He did not specify the cost and terms of delivery of helicopters, but noted that this is not the only contract with China, which was signed recently.
In confirmation of his words, Dzirkaln said that a contract had been signed earlier for the supply of a large consignment of Russian aviation engines.
The Mi-171E multi-purpose transport helicopter belongs to the Mi-8 helicopter family and is the result of a thorough modernization of the Mi-17 helicopter. The helicopter is developed in the OKB. Mile and from 1990 of the year is serially produced at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, which is part of the Russian Helicopters holding. In the passenger version, the helicopter is capable of transporting 26 people, and in the transport one - up to 4 thousand kg of cargo in a cargo cabin or on an external sling.
With the help of Mi-171E, it is possible to transport bulky cargo in a cargo cabin with remote rear flaps, perform various installation and handling operations, carry out search and rescue and rescue operations, and solve other tasks.
The helicopter is equipped with modern navigation equipment that allows for instrument flight.

The Mi-171E helicopter is certified in Russia, the People's Republic of China, South Korea, Slovakia, and Mongolia. Currently in the countries of Central and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the CIS more than 500 Mi-171 helicopters in various modifications and variants are operated.
