NATO commented on Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly
The NATO deputy spokesman said that the alliance took note of the message from President Vladimir Putin on February 20.
According to the statement, "NATO allies have repeatedly called on Russia to destroy medium-range missiles that violate the INF Treaty" (9М729 missiles). The Alliance also conducts a constant assessment of the consequences of a "violation of Russia" agreement on the elimination of medium and shorter-range missiles.
Meanwhile, Germany announced demands on Moscow to destroy "suspicious" missiles. This demand came from the mouth of the deputy official representative of the FRG government Ulrike Demmer.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking with an annual message to the Federal Assembly, said that the United States had long been violating the INF Treaty, deploying missile defense systems in Europe and launching target missiles that, in all respects, are suitable for limiting the treaty as medium-range missiles.
