Do Russian UAVs have a future?

10
Today, the development of unmanned aviation It is an essential component of the Russian Armed Forces. Over the past years, our designers have been actively working in this direction. Russia managed to overcome a significant gap in this industry.

One of the results of the work of specialists was the development of the Orlan UAV. This drone is used as a high-performance reconnaissance vehicle. It is able to withstand electronic warfare systems by creating unique Russian equipment and specialized data transmission channels. These Drones showed themselves excellently during the operation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria. The Syrian experience is planned to be used in the creation of new modifications of Orlan.

Can "Orlan" be used in the civil sphere? What are the prospects for the application of motor modifications? Which UAV will replace the "Orlan"? Answers to these and other questions are given in the video:

It also discusses the important topic of Russia's ability to equal on an equal footing with Western countries in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, the relevance of which is extremely high.

The performance of Roman Ivanov was not impressive. I did not feel the vigor of my tone. I don’t understand why, having an unsurpassed reconnaissance drone, there is a complete lack of immediate prospects for creating an attack. Some excuses for registering manufactured drones ... Examples of mass artisanal production, links to instructors ...
You, as deputy director, are simply obliged to say exactly and clearly what is missing in Russian industry in order to put on the assembly line the production of domestic shock drones. The rest should not interest anyone. And, most importantly, the person dealing with the problem should name the terms of the decision ...
Through some kind of Chubais nanotechnological hopeless ...

what is lacking in Russian industry to put on the assembly line the production of domestic shock drones.

By the effectiveness of firing at a tactical depth (up to 100 km), drones will never be able to catch up with the missile forces and artillery. Therefore, it should be expected that reconnaissance and electronic warfare for these UAVs will remain a priority. If short-range UAVs will be created, then most likely they are disposable for special operations.
If we talk about strategic long-range UAVs, then, in fact, here you can make UAVs from any attack aircraft and bomber. Remember in 89, the MiG-23 without a pilot quietly flew half of Europe until it ran out of fuel. In fact, long-range UAVs need reliable satellite communications channels. Even the Americans were forced to limit the use of shock UAVs in Afghanistan due to the overload of satellite communication channels. Obviously, in the confrontation of technologically equal opponents, not only a large number of satellite communications channels are needed, but also their high reliability. Otherwise, an unmanned UAV, without the possibility of additional reconnaissance of targets on the ground, will turn into a very slow and vulnerable cruise missile.

Perhaps this is still not a question for Roman Ivanov. Useful load for the same Orldan 10 is about 5 kg, this is enough to carry the same charge from an RPG, the whole thing is in the orientation and aiming unit.

There is not enough desire to work, but democracy and liberalism are over the edge.

"Do Russian drones have a future?"
I suspect that we are being talked about a lot about our UAVs.
    "Partners" will be surprised.
"Caliber", he is also a drone, though disposable. Added to him, for example, a controlled target search function - and you have a "fascist grenade" on you.

Russia's ability to "compete" on equal terms with Western countries

all the same - "something is wrong in the Danish kingdom." After they literally recently created a UAV called "Buran" they sent it and returned it from space ... now they whined about "futility".
It’s a bit like the Americans’s flight to the moon: it’s like they landed, everyone saw a movie ... but now there’s no technology, technology, or even samples of lunar soil! Mystic!

Well, at least crack it ... but this "mighty eagle" painfully reminds me of an aircraft model from the 70s ... or maybe it will pull on a messer. Inject, from which of the pioneers this devay was squeezed out ??? And there is no need to nod at the filling, because in this case the form determines the content. wassat

On an equal footing - do not succeed. The radio control range of Russian drones is in the zone of direct visual visibility between the UAV and the operator. And the reason is that the orbital constellation of control satellites is virtually absent. Pilots in Syria fly with aliexpress navigators mounted on rubber bands in the cockpit! What kind of future are you talking about? Wishful thinking is yes, it is possible. But in fact, where the Americans and Europeans are tasked with drones (for example, long-range reconnaissance or fire support), we can only carry out such tasks on a manned aircraft.

Israel already widely used drones in 1982.
We are really technologically behind, only propaganda is good

to answer this question ... you just need to go to the store ... like CSN .... and buy a Russian computer ... or a smartphone. or just a mobile phone ... And that’s all ... there is an answer .. And on piece exclusive you will not go far
