It's about the latest project aviation missiles, which is designed to arm not only aircraft, but also helicopters.

At the same time at the moment there is no data about what class of missile is being discussed. Taking into account what is stated about the possibility of arming helicopters with Monolith, we can only assume that the class of the rocket is “air-to-ground”, but not “air-to-air”.
It is noteworthy that in the statement there was a phrase about the development in a “proactive manner”.

The C-8 OFP “Armor-Bearer” is an air-to-surface missile, which Vladimir Lepin also spoke about the development of which several months ago. This fact also makes it possible to judge that the Monolith is an air-to-ground missile.
According to him, the settings of the “Armored Washer” fuse allow the rocket to explode not only when in contact with the target (barrier), but also in front of it and even behind it, “punching it and not breaking it down to the blast”. In a statement, Lepine said that the C-8 OFE “Armeboyashchik” missiles would be equipped with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters of certain modifications. For the first time, "Broneboyschik" was presented at an exhibition in India. They are interested in the Indian armed forces.
