OSV-96 enters the civilian market. Works Tula KBP

Central Design and Research Bureau of sports and hunting weapons (TsKIB SOO), part of the Tula Instrument Engineering Design Bureau, has begun to develop a civilian version of the Russian sniper rifle OSV-96 12,7 mm caliber, reports TASS with reference to TsKIB SOO director Alexei Sorokin.

OSV-96 enters the civilian market. Works Tula KBP

The director of TsKIB SOO within the framework of the Army-2018 forum stated that at present the bureau is already working to "turn" the military rifle into a civilian sample. It is planned that already this year a new weapon will enter the design testing stage. At the same time, the bureau added that the civil cartridge caliber 12,7-mm for the new rifle has already been created.

The press service of the NPO "High-Precision Complexes" confirmed the creation of a civilian version of the OSV-96 sniper rifle and noted that the demand for this caliber in the civilian market is significant and is growing every year. The rifle for a powerful cartridge is planned to be used for commercial purposes, for hunting large animals, as well as for protection against predators when conducting work in remote areas, etc.

OSV-96 "Vzlomschik" is a Russian semi-automatic large-caliber sniper rifle chambered for 12,7X108 mm. Sighting range - 1800 m. The size of the store OCB-96 is five rounds. The rifle is in service with the Ministry of Defense, the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service of Russia.

The rifle is capable of hitting infantry at distances up to 1800 meters and is capable of hitting material targets at ranges of up to 2500 meters. As an effective anti-sniper weapon, the OSV-96 keeps the shooter out of the effective range of conventional calibers, providing a clear advantage over lower caliber rifles. Specialized high-precision sniper cartridges 12.7 × 108mm. Heavy machine gun cartridges can also be used for firing, but with limited accuracy. The rifle has a free-floating barrel in combination with a large muzzle brake, which significantly reduces its recoil and improves accuracy

I doubt however. The fact is that the persons you have indicated and in the oligarchs' compartment with them, members of the government, have completely lost the instinct of self-preservation. They believed that they were infallible, that they were the most intelligent and the most hardworking and, on the basis of this, were confident in the people's love for them. Hence the loss of instinct.

I saw what was left of the bull after several bullets of CPV ... the first impression was that it exploded from the inside.
They wanted to carry a pedigree bull to the slaughterhouse, so he pulled out the ring (in the nose of which), put the tractor on its side, drove the men and ran away into the field. The chairman of the military asked to be laid.
Those on an armored personnel carrier rolled up, tried from the FCT - it does not fall. Burst from the CPV - burst.

Well, there is nothing to say about the caliber of 12,7 mm. Of course, there will be buyers, now there are enough "concerned", they will buy a gun. But someone, after all, must think with his head - where and who can be hunted in such a caliber and why is it in civilian circulation.
