MBDA: СVS101 The concept of infantry weapons system on 2030 year

9
In 2010, at Farnborough International Airshow, MBDA introduced a new look at ideas that could be developed in the next generation. weapons and equipment for the soldiers of the future.
MBDA (Matra BAE Dynamics Alenia), a leading European developer and manufacturer of rocket systems, was formed in 2001 by the association Aérospatiale-Matra Missiles (structure EADS), Finmeccanica and Matra BAe Dynamics

MBDA: СVS101 The concept of infantry weapons system on 2030 year

Steve Wadey, Executive Group Director Technical / Managing Director UK, MBDA:
"The new concept is another example of MBDA innovation in the rocket systems market, which allows us to develop future components for key defense areas."

The CVS101 concept is formulated as a 2030 infantryman fire support and control system of the year.
The goal is:
- the provision of light, long-range and high-precision weapons for the needs of infantry, which will allow it to strike with heavy weapons at lower levels of the command structure of the armed forces;
- adjustable power weapons;
-interaction on 5 generation networks.
The system is designed to meet the needs of infantry in urban battles with greater freedom of choice of targets and with the flexibility of prompt delivery of weapons to the target.
CVS101 system will provide the required accuracy of fire for a wide range of military and peacekeeping tasks.
Unlike existing weapons, CVS101 will be able to fight an adversary that mixes with friendly forces or civilians.
Operational interaction (positioning, SV, aiming at the target) will be provided through its own high-precision and high-speed tactical control and interaction system, which has positioning sensors, and integrated with a modern, easy-to-use fire control system that provides human decision-making in real time. CVS101 is lightweight and is designed on the principle of reducing the load on the soldier. It must provide orientation and aiming of weapons at targets in conditions of extremely poor visibility, the absence of a goal in direct visibility, and the ability to use them in difficult urban conditions due to its network integration when used with sensors in tactical information networks.

New paradigm in infantry equipment
• Infantry "platforms" - each component has several functions providing tactical flexibility
• Distribution of awareness of the situation in the group, C2-architecture
• Increasing the combat capabilities of a group of infantrymen united in a cluster, compared to a single soldier or just a group of soldiers
• Intuitive and easy to use interface
• Reducing the weight of ammunition, equipment and weapons
• The possibility of reliable selection and destruction of the enemy in the mass of friendly forces and civilians
• Support for the accuracy of fire third-party weapons of other branches of service
• Changing the intensity and power of fire in accordance with rapidly changing threats

In hostilities in Iraq (2003), heterogeneous and diverse, even belonging to the armed forces of different countries, forces and means of air attack of all types based on a single plan and plan, already distributed not only in the Middle East theater of war, but also practically throughout the world. , coordinated by goals, objectives, place and time, coordinated strikes were delivered against the most important control centers and infrastructure facilities of Iraq.

The question was born .. And why the general replace tanks with infantry? Will soldiers fight on fields and roads?

As in Soviet times - "In the evening on paper, in the morning in metal!"
This is another incentive for the development of missile and high-precision systems for Russian infantry! Will live! angry

      Already there are similar developments.
The last time we saw the PETMAN robot, it was an indistinct structure that could not boast of anything but a pair of ridiculous legs. Now its creators from Boston Dynamics have finalized the machine to more fully match the human body. She appeared something like a torso, upper limbs, and also a light bulb instead of a head. The robot was created in order to move like a living soldier, but not to participate in hostilities, but to save the victims.

The article is uninformative. I was only able to conclude that they want to put small guided high-precision missiles on the armament of the infantryman)) Yes, and then, more in the photo than in the meaning of the article laughing
IMHO, this is great, especially for working on snipers in the city and fortified enemy fire nests. A kind of portable artillery.

      Novosibirets hello
The release text is very tricky and there is very little information from the outside.
      Briefly essence:
      1. Equip the infantry with light, portable, long-range, guided weapons.
      Quote: NovoSibirets
      deliver small guided high-precision missiles
      True, most likely by 2013.
      Tiger (weight 450 g) / 3200 m / GPS and inertial guidance

      Sniper (weighing 1 kg) / 4500 (?) M / GPS and inertial guidance

      Enforcer (5 kg) / n / a GPS and inertial guidance
      http://www.mbda-systems.com/mediagallery/photos/CONCEPT-VISIONS-11_large.jpg
      2. Protective uniforms of reduced weight, enhanced protection (integrated control systems, communications, LMS, positioning reservations, camouflage, etc.)

      3. The ability of each infantryman (if necessary) to cause fire to suppress the firing points of the required power, at a given point.
(Roughly: direct target designation directly to aviation, navy, tanks, etc.)

      4. Integrated network of 5th generation (IEEE 802.11ac, 40nM, video streaming in HD 1080p format, 1.3 Gb / s)
5.Intuitive and easy to use interface

      6. Intelligent systems of recognition of one's / another's, targeting:
Allows you to fire in a crowd in a city without hitting civilians, and friendly troops.
      7. The concept of the anthill: one nslad, in the heap is stronger, but in the structure it is much stronger than before, the following:
(combining the computing abilities and weapons of the group into one structure) ./ Stanislav Lem - "Invincible". attack of "black" rain /

Thanks for the detailed answer, Postman. About that way I imagined it. Moreover, apparently, as a trophy this weapon will be useless, because just will not work outside of integration into the system. Right?
The war of the future, its to the swing. Woe to the one who is lagging behind in development ...

          Hey.
          Yes, right:
          1. Integrate it will not be where. Lost 30-40% function
          2. Protection.
While you overcome all this, turn gray

Exactly! I would really not like for us a repetition of the Crimean War.
(smoothbore guns - against rifled, sailboats - against steamers, well, etc.)

IMHO, ours are not fools either. On the modern battlefield, EW means against such gadgets will prevail in order to completely disrupt the communication and interaction of enemy troops and units. I do not think that the Americans or NATO will be able to calmly and easily walk around with their electronic gadgets, they will simply be stupidly crushed. And here our good old Kalash will come out on top, for which electronic warfare equipment does not work, and then we’ll see who is who.

And such developments will come in handy against any country in the 3rd world that will not have electronic warfare equipment capable of incapacitating them.

EW funds will dominate the modern battlefield
      .
we talk a lot about EW
      But:
the power of pulsed electronic warfare is nothing compared to a lightning discharge or disturbances in the atmosphere after an outbreak in the sun.
However, I have never heard that civil aircraft or automobiles (for example) have everything "crumbled" in a thunderstorm.
But this is a citizen ....

These developments (and the release says about it) for military operations in cities and in the "environment" of civilians.

A relatively simple explosive magnetic generator or what kind of virus, or something else, leaves the super-fighter blind, deaf and confused. On a tricky zazu, there is always something with a screw.
        1. This child prodigy should have a powerful protection system (electromagnetic, information, etc.).
        2. This is a very complex system of interaction, and the more complex the system, the more vulnerabilities in it.
        3. The more we fill a simple soldier’s head with information, the slower it reacts. (A fighter is better in one simple parameter - he shot first.)

    Relatively simple

Exactly, everything is correct. Semiconductors "burn" -need to go back to the lamps, the connection can be "hammered" with interference, the wire can be cutneed to go to the messengers. and tpitde
"A bullet is a fool - a bayonet well done", which is characteristic you are not "Columbus" in these innovations, the Generals have already deduced these postulates
    Russian-Turkish war of 1877-87, V.S., Pikul, "Bayazet".

A soldier is walking, a soldier is walking. 182 rounds were given to him throughout the war, and the sergeants taught him this way:
    - You, bumpkin, give three shots, and then - run; if he ran alive, - Do it with a bayonet, uncleanly, forget about firing now, now, because it’s not your mind’s business! ..
    Officers taught sergeants differently:
“You see, brother, the point here is how to explain it to you more simply? .. A soldier - you know, it’s difficult to teach him. And so - let him beat himself with a bayonet: it’s easier for a fool! ..
    Generals taught officers more precisely:
    - Gentlemen, let Europe invent what they want. The equipment is there, all that ... Suvorovs are still not with them, but with us. Thanks to God, the man is dark: you just need to get him on the enemy, and there you look, the thing will turn around ...
The generals were also taught, but they were presented with this idea in a different form:
    - The bayonet gives, Your Excellency, the fastest and decisive result, while actively acting morally, while firearms do not have such a result and, undermining the moral basis, weaken the potential of the offensive ...
A soldier is walking, a soldier is walking. Along the mountain trails goes where the tramp-tiger left its mark; walks through the valleys, where the gardens bloom in white bloom, and in each ovary - plum, peach, figs, persimmons or tender tuta. “We are going to gobble up,” the soldier hopes. “And we’ll go home if we don’t lie under the cross!”
He squeezes a satchel in the scruff of the neck, a trench tool slaps on the side, a flask spins, a rifle stretched out his hand, rubbed his shoulder over the overcoat, the hard collar of his uniform crashed into his chin.
    - At-two ... At-two! ..
    There is a soldier - 182 cartridges are coming: 1 - in a store, 35 - in a belt, 24 - in a satchel, 60 - in a wagenburg, 52 - in kurdzhins, 10 - in a convoy ...
Total - 182 shots, no more, he can do in this war.
The generals counted everything - not a hundred and not two hundred, but it was 182:
“You see, Vanyukha, what genaras we have, exact ones, one piece in one piece!” And only here it would be interesting to know Vanyukhe: why is it impossible to charge another cartridge in a gun? They even tried to poke a muzzle - no, it’s not climbing, damned.
    - Your Honor! Again it doesn’t climb ...
Nekrasov takes the cartridge, throws it into the ditch:
    - Bastards! Again the wrong caliber ...

This is a very complex system.

All right. C. Systems determined by topological entropy
    S = k • ln (W)
S = k • (pi • ln (pi)) / in the case of different probability of states /
But, you forget that the "complex system" and solves COMPLEX PROBLEMS.
Let's go back to the bayonet (see the foreword), the complexity is minimal, the vulnerability is only from corrosion. Yes, and a unified energy system (failures, / New York for example ... there would be no problems by candlelight), let alone computers, a network, in general. Topwar - in the form of a newspaper and "readers write".

    The more we score

I doubt a "simple" fighter will agree with this when he will be destroyed by these "not simple" ones, being out of the reach of his bayonet. This has already happened, repeatedly: Crimean company (rifled - against smooth-bore and sailboats - against steam), Russian- Turkish, already led, 1905 (shimose (C6H2 (NO2) 3OH) - against pyroxylin (60% of non-exploded shells), CONTINUE? to the present day?

    Relatively simple explosive magnetic generator

Yes Yes. so simple .. and the "Inverse Square Law" does not work and only affects the equipment of the "difficult" soldier.
    ===========================================

If the charge is assembled correctly, ... which will lead to the generation of a pulsed stream of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation (RFEMI). Its duration is less than a nanosecond, but the spectrum! For fractions of a nanosecond, the field ...
Therefore, a shock wave source emits in the range from hundreds of megahertz to hundreds of gigahertz — more than three frequency decades!
    ...
Almost all articles about electromagnetic weapons traditionally end with a standard "horror story" about "disconnected phones" and "extinguished lights." We will not do this, and for a very obvious reason: idiot, breathtakingly expensive ammunition to such nonsense most likely a military tribunal will be waiting.
    =============================================

Yes, you forgot: during the Yugoslav attack, all AGMs lost their course by simply turning on the microwave oven in the neighboring apartment .....

Have you even seen military equipment (electronic) components from the inside (under the cover)?
