Innovative rocket engine tested in Russia

Last week, Russia presented a whole line of breakthrough military developments. The main task of the new weapons is the defense of our country. It will be the guarantor of the fact that in the coming decades Russia will be able to quietly develop and live in peace.

Undoubtedly, the implemented technologies in the military field will sooner or later be used in the field of civilian. Of course, hypersonic transcontinental flights are still far away, but a compact nuclear reactor will most likely find its application, for example, in space.



Meanwhile, in Russia, the combustion chamber of the most efficient oxygen-kerosene liquid jet engine RD-0124 has been successfully tested. The peculiarity of the camera is that it, like the mixing head, is made by means of 3D printing. This method reduces the time and cost of production by 20%.

    The efficiency of a rocket engine directly depends on the operation of a turbo fuel supercharger. However, specialists are aware. that at high turbine rotation speeds three successive stages of pressure drop occur. And everyone knows that. Therefore, there is a fundamental task for designers and scientists to create such an algorithm for the physical process of the outflow of hydro-gas-dynamic flow at which there will be no such failures, for well-known reasons. Modern turbines do not allow reaching such rotor speeds at which it is possible to overcome a complex of threshold effects such that do not allow increasing the energy density in the reference gas-dynamic flow. Therefore, the conclusion is simple. Heavy rockets and their creation reduce the quality factor of key nodes and do not allow you to get away from the proportional dependence of the growth of the weight of the rocket on the required weight of the fuel. Moreover, there is a correlation as an algorithm in which an increase in the weight of the rocket and an increase in the weight of the fuel reduces the payload.
    The new basic principles of creating all, without exception, turbines simultaneously solve the problem of creating heavy missiles, through the possibility of a radical increase in the speed of pumping hydro-gas-dynamic flows without fear of failures and pressure drop.
