On March 6, 2012, probably the first press tour in Siberia of representatives of network media, bloggers to the object of the Ministry of Defense of Russia - the 562nd aviation Army Aviation Base. The base is equipped with Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters and is located near the Tolmachevo Airport near Novosibirsk. During the press tour, we attended a pre-flight briefing, observed the preparation of the equipment for the take-off, and escorted a pair of Mi-8Ps on a Mi-24 helicopter, making firing exercises at the Shilovsky training ground in the Novosibirsk Region. Today we only announce a series of photo reports and notes on the results of our first press tour. Photos are uploaded in higher resolution than usual. Photo material from the site militaryrussia.ru.

Many thanks to the press club of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the assistant to the commander of the airbase, Major D.A. Kositsky and of course, the assistant to the commander of the 41 Combined Arms Army for information support of Lieutenant Colonel Sivokhin Yury Mikhailovich for organizing and holding a press tour.

So, 6 March 2012 was held the first press tour of representatives of network media and bloggers in Siberia to the object of the Russian Ministry of Defense - 562-th aviation base of army aviation. The base is equipped with Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters and is located near the Tolmachevo airport near Novosibirsk. During the press tour, we visited a pre-flight briefing, observed the preparation of the equipment for the flight, and accompanied a Mi-8P pair on the Mi-24 helicopter, who had fired at the Shilovsky proving ground in the Novosibirsk region.

In the first part of the report - all that was before the flight ...

Special thanks to the press club of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the assistant to the commander of the airbase, Major D.A. Kositsky, and of course, the assistant to the commander of the 41 Combined Arms Army for information support, Lieutenant Colonel Sivokhin, Yury Mikhailovich, for organizing and conducting the press tour.

The meeting point was set up in the center of Novosibirsk at 13.30 and around 9 hours of the morning we left Tomsk on our own. There are cars on the track. The area near the Swamp. Steering wheel classic Ural right, photographed the driver.

Closer to Novosibirsk, a bypass road begins - twice as wide as the M53 highway.

The meeting point was set up right in the center of Novosibirsk near the House of Officers. Nearby is a picturesque church, to the left of it a circus building - for example, there is no circus in Tomsk since the Soviet era - they broke somewhere in the beginning of 1980's to build a new one, but didn’t have time, but in Novosibirsk and other industrial cities there is (Kemerovo , Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, etc.). Tomsk is a university city ...

Eustace, Alex, meeting point - House of Officers, Novosibirsk.

It was on this minibus that we were taken to the press tour.

We cross Ob - we rush to the West.

Landscape 562-th airbase from the window of a minibus.

"Comrade bloggers, welcome to the territory of the 562 airbase. We ask you to pass on a briefing to the personnel before combat shooting."

On this day there were flights to the firing range. Flying several crews and Mi-8 and Mi-24P. Shooting was carried out from cannons and NURs. At the briefing, as expected, the general situation, reference points, etc. were communicated. There are many interesting posters with numbers on the walls - about them in the bonus part of the report for connoisseurs.

This is Garmin (GPS) ... I forgot to ask about GLONASS, but in general he did have a massive promise to us already for the 2010 year, so maybe you should just wait. Quad plate with job notes.

The briefing was conducted by the deputy commander of the aviation base No. XXUMX, Lieutenant Colonel O.A.Panin. There are many interesting things for a non-expert on the board - there are familiar names - Kemerovo, Barnaul ...

The officers of the air base are pilots, navigators, technicians.

Novosibirsk bloggers and journalists, "Vesti-Novosibirsk."

Let's fly! On airplanes on the field there will be a separate conversation - though not very detailed.

Nearby is the civil airport Tolmachevo - landing a passenger airliner. Unfortunately, due to inexperience, I missed the landing of An-124 Ruslan ...

On this Mi-8, we accompanied a pair of Mi-24Ps on the route to the range and above the range. He asked - why sooty? The answer is that cars are kept in the open air, while winter is hard to wash in the cold. In the summer, cars are washed frequently and they always look smart. Another question - how to upgrade technology? The answer is an update, but first of all from western districts. No details were given, but as I understood here the helicopters are not the freshest releases. But all the flying equipment is in excellent condition - in fact, it can be seen both outside and inside.

The first in the direction of the landfill went "crocodiles" - Mi-24P. The site is located approximately 20 kilometers from the air base to the south. As it turned out later, some acquaintances had been there during the years of service.

At this point, allow me to complete the first part of our report. We are just learning and therefore may not be very informative. I apologize. In the second part - the actual flight and shooting ... Next - the airfield, barracks and the bonus part for real connoisseurs ...

6 March 2012. The first press tour in Siberia took place at the 562 Aviation Base of Army Aviation in Novosibirsk. In the first part of our report, we talked about what happened before the flights. And now - flying!

Today is the day of flying to the landfill and flew many Mi-24P airbases. Mi-24P board №26 yellow.

In addition to the Mi-24P, Mi-8 helicopters with NUR units took part in the shooting.

Mi-8 board №67 yellow was allocated to a group of bloggers and journalists. Last preparations before departure.

We were loaded on the Mi-8 with the tail number 67 yellow. There was enough space for everyone. I did not take into account only one of inexperience - not all windows opened, and the pictures through the glass were not very good. Therefore, shooting in the air with other photographers, I think, should be much better.

Mi-8 - adjacent to us in the parking lot of helicopters.

Mi-24P board 26 yellow steer to the take-off area. All helicopters took off from certain sites, to which they moved under their own power. Helicopters were later landing at the same sites.

The crew and passengers are ready for takeoff!

Mi-24P probably board №26 - if he has not had time to roll.

Mi-24P board №25 is preparing for takeoff - we accompanied this helicopter and helicopter Mi-24П board №41 yellow. Below in the frame is a fragment of the suspension units of our helicopter.

And behind us, the Mi-8, which stood beside us in the same row, follow to take off. Shooting through the illuminator - the frame is zamylen.

We are in the air and not alone - we accompany a couple of Mi-24P. It should be noted that the take-off took place without excesses - no one needed the packages - despite some maneuvers in the air, the sensations were completely expected and normal. Helicopter flying is not scary!

Two "crocodile" go to work. An unforgettable sight really!

Mi-24P board №25 yellow - driven by our pair. Shooting against the sun and through the illuminator - we managed to pull it out with a photoshop.

A pair of Mi-24P is approaching the landfill.

Mi-24P board №25 - slave.

Mi-24P board №41 - leading.

That for which everything was started - shooting. Despite the warning that they would start shooting now - the volley of NURs I overslept. He was alone and by ear - 2-4 missiles from the board. It can be seen as the sleeves are poured. On the Mi-24, the twin gun, the caliber 30 mm, is a very powerful and effective means of attacking infantry and lightly armored vehicles. Guns fired longer and managed to still make one frame. Affected by the lack of experience in shooting helicopters and filming in general. Next time will be better!

Our companion and organizer of the press tour is Lieutenant Colonel Yury Mikhailovich Sivokhin.

So we flew back. The flight lasted no more than 40 minutes.

Only a few, for the first time is not very bad!
It’s definitely glad that the materiel is not very old, everything with vibration dampers and still the Mi-8MTV-1 in the army was exotic in my time, basically only the Mi-8T and Mi8-MT, well, the wish to get the Mi 35, not to mention the Mi-28!
Clear skies and trouble-free flight operations!
    With all my heart success!

Thank you for the photo story. I like it. From the unusual for myself, I identified two points, however, not related to technical topics:
    1. It seemed to me. that among the pilots there are not many young guys. It may be because they, in their youth, were sitting behind and didn’t get a photo. I would like to see more young pilots. Especially - in the exercises.
    2. This is not the first time I notice this "chevron" on the chest with insignia in the absence of shoulder straps (in the photo with the lieutenant colonel) .. Perhaps I missed something in today's field uniform. Probably there are no longer shoulder straps in the field. An interesting solution, of course. I think there is a certain reason for this. Although fighters need to be able to distinguish and find a commander in battle from all angles. How about that? Are there any problems here?

Even under the USSR, flyers did not have shoulder straps and insignia on their flight and technical uniforms. It was explained by safety precautions. By the way, this very much annoyed the "ground passengers". There was such a story, or maybe a reality. The commander of the air defense formation (the formation included both anti-aircraft gunners and flyers) was appointed a rocketman. Having visited the flyers, he was outraged by the form of clothing, did not accept any excuses and made the flyers sew on shoulder straps with insignia. After a while, the plane crashed and the commission came to the conclusion that the accident was due to an asterisk from the epaulettes of a technician ... In general, this comrade came to the flyers, trampled his cap with his feet for a long time, swore obscenities and said that they themselves had killed the plane, but on he was written off ...

There was such a bike, and maybe true.

        No bike that's for sure!
In 1976, Yours truly, Kiev Military District, another "transfer" of aviation to the subordination of the Commander of the Military District.
Only "we" had a tanker, I already wrote about this once, in short, for almost a week they walked in leather jackets with sewn shoulder straps, in prydzhs from PSh, chrome boots, shirts with ties, but thanks to the commander, they came up with an excuse for this is the time not to fly - the commander had no idea that we needed PPK, VKK, VK, etc.
Imagine a picture in a protivopereguzu and in a bridge and boots ??? fool

So they "went out" as much as the General Designer! But in a week they solved all the "problems", and after 5 months, in my opinion, I don't remember anymore and returned to the good old VA! good

He himself didn’t find such crap in his regiment, and a comrade told me that they had a PMC in their unit, it’s a member of the military council, as the association’s political leader was called, a half-mastic red-handed general, so he burst after several misunderstandings that he understood nothing and ordered they put on shoulder straps for DMS. They quickly left and didn’t have time to sew. In general, of course, it was not very convenient not to know who was in front of you and how to contact him. Now it’s good, everything is written on the pilot and is understandable.

Ka-50 is already in the past, if I’m not mistaken, it’s already not produced in series, but instead of it, ka-52. And even so far there are not so many of them, like about 20-30 (I can be very mistaken), but there are more mi-28s, but still not so many that they are all over the country in every air base

MI-24 is the most beautiful helicopters in the world. The pictures are cool, and the MI-24 is handsome.

Well, about beauty, a moot point, but the fact that the most severe and terrible ones are yes.
